Sierra mist and sherbert...you can do mint it is really yummy!
I am looking for an easy recipe for a great punch. I am throwing a bridal shower this weekend and want to serve punch. I'm open to alcoholic and non-alcoholic suggestions. (I know I'll have at least one mom who's nursing.) Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
Thanks to everyone for all the very yummy sounding punch recipes! I had a really hard time deciding. In the end I went with Diana's suggestion:

This recipe was SUPER easy and very tasty. Time was of the essence and this took me about 2 minutes to put together once everyone was there. The only hard thing about it was finding the lemonade. I ended up using a 2 liter of Minute Maid Lemonade and it worked fine. Thanks again for all the suggestions. I can't wait to try more of them.

I made this one for my daughter-in-laws bridal shower and everyone loved it so much that we made it for the wedding too!
Golden Wedding Punch
2 cans pineapple juice
1 and 1/2 cups of lemon juice
3/4ths cup of sugar
2 bottles of club soda
Orange and lemon slices
I froze pineapple juice in heart trays to add in and then floated the fruit slices in it. You can cut the recipe in half to fit in the punch bowl. I can't remember if it fills the whole punch bowl or not. For the wedding we mixed up the juices and sugar and then just added the soda with it half and half. We had a few punch bowls going at a time.
I am throwing a baby shower this weekend and am going to be using this recipe:

I haven't used it before, but it has good reviews! Best of luck to both of us!!
Hi S.,
A really easy recipe for punch is 1 bottle of grenadine syrup, 1 2liter bottle of 7-up, a 5 pound bag of ice. Mix and serve. It makes a really pretty dark pink punch and is quite tasty too.
We also like mint punch. It calls for 6-7 sprigs of fresh mint, 3/4cup lemon juice, 3/4 cup sugar, 1 46oz can of pineaplle juice and a 2 liter bottle of ginger-ale. Mix the lemon juice and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Soak the mint in the lemon/sugar mixture overnight, mashing it several times when you first put it in. Next morning, squeeze the mint until pretty dry and discard. Put the syrup in the pineapple juice and chill. When ready to serve add 1/2 the bottle of ginger ale and ice. I like to make multiple batches of the lemon/sugar/mint syrup and freeze to have on hand when I need a punch.
Thanks,
E.
The best punch ever!!!!
2 Liter Jar Sprite or Sierra Mist (Can also use Sprite Zero)
1 Can Frozen Cran Raspberry Juice, thawed (can be hard to find I know Safeway carries it)
1 Can Frozen Orange Juice, thawed
1 Small bag of frozen raspberries
You may want to double it depending on the number of people. I ran out at my last shower. Also, we just put bottles of champagne next to the punch bowl and people loved adding some to their individual glass.
Good Luck and enjoy!
You can't go wrong with ginger ale poured over any kind sherbet. It's delicious and extremely easy.
But for daughter's birthday I tried some banana punch (we were having a monkey theme) and this stuff is AWESOME-- people couldn't get enough of it. It is easily made ahead of time and you can make an alcoholic version by just adding some light or dark rum. Here's the recipe:
• 4 ripe bananas
• 2 cups white sugar
• 3 cups water
• 1 (46 oz) can pineapple juice
• 2 (12 oz) cans frozen orange juice concentrate
• 1 (12 oz) can frozen lemonade concentrate
• 3 cups water
• 3 liters ginger ale
• In a blender, combine bananas, sugar and 3 cups water. Blend until smooth. Pour into a large bowl and stir in pineapple juice. Blend in orange juice concentrate, lemonade concentrate and 3 cups water. Divide into 3 plastic containers and freeze until solid.
• Remove from freezer 3 to 4 hours before serving. Using one portion at a time, place slush in a punch bowl and pour in 1 liter of ginger ale for each.
You can multiply these to serve more people. Here are the ratios:
One two-liter bottle of Fresca
One 64 oz. bottle of apple juice
One 12 oz. can of frozen white grape juice UNDILUTED
Mix togther. (Do NOT add water to the white grape juice! Just put it in directly from the can.)
It's super delicious, sparkly, and tangy. We make this for all out holiday gatherings and parites. Enjoy! :-)
