I need to find an AMAZING & AFFORDABLE vet that is great with cats (or prefers cats) in the East Valley. We are currently in the Ahwatukee/Chandler area, but will travel for the best vet. Our poor cat has been having problems for almost 2 years (hemotochezia & weight loss), and after going to our usual over-priced vet, they haven't really done much. I know our cat will be needing x-rays, blood work, etc., but we don't want to pay the arm & a leg that our current vet charges along with the fact that they really haven't done much up to this point. We feel like we may know what is going on (most likely cancer), but want to get it confirmed with a caring vet who won't try and coerce us to do extra tests and treatment that really aren't necessities. Thank you so much in advance!

We absolutely love our vet, and drive from Ahwatukee to Gilbert to see him and his staff: Dr. Sam Wolfe, at Higley Road Pet Clinic, at the NWC Higley and Guadalupe Rds. He is very gentle with all of our animals (3 cats/1 dog) and has assisted us through a few difficult times with compassion and guidance - though he's never been pushy. We also really like the vet technicians there - all very patient, helpful, and compassionate, as well as fun to talk with. ###-###-####

Once when our cat was in that same predicament we took him to Scaredy Cats Hospital , 4731 E Greenway Suite 9. They have a "bark free environment", average prices and a few people who rave about them, and a few who don't. You can google it for yourself. We found them more helpful than our vet who was recommending a trip to california for a nuclear scan. No, not a CAT scan. LOL They were able to tell us that poor kitty was terminal and needed to be put down so we saved the cost of the scan. How can you tell which vet is correct? D.

Hello!
Our vet at 43rd Ave Animal Hospital has been great at caring of our cats for over 10 years. They took care of all maintenance, detal issues, kidney disease, diabetes and currently cancer in our oldest cat right now. They are at 43rd Ave and Cactus, so about 30-45 min travel time for you, but if you can not find anyone closer, I can only recommend them!
All the best for you and your cat!
D.
