We need to be able to send flowers to mamas (and the occasional papa) who post something that we don't have anything to add to, but want to let them know we read it and support them.
Here's a big *hug* for you instead!
I'm home today as a 'sick' day and my wonderful pertner is caring for our 11 month old son. It was a yucky dental day but recovery is well on it's way!
So I have been reading posts in-between Netflix instant watch video's and thinking about how much I appreciate everyone on here who takes the time to respond to posts. I read funny posts, sad, scary, confusing, angry, happy, thoughtful and helpful posts too. Mama's everywhere are expressing love, heartache and this huge spectrum of everything in between.
So I wanted to express gratitude for all of it! Yes, all of it! Everything from kindness to judgmentalness because everytime we share our views with others we are reminded we are all part of life and not alone. No one is alone in their struggles or triumphs and that is a good feeling.
It might sound odd to say, but even the harsh views have purpose. No one thinks or perceives anything the same way and it's good to experience differences because I think it helps in understanding ourselves and others more. It is unfortunate that some of us feel attacked and judged, but an opportunity to see a different vantage point.
Anyways, I read waaaaaayyyyy more supportive posts than harsh posts and that says a lot about our capacity to care about people we don't even know. And that is a beautiful thing:)
So I just wanted to express gratitude to everyone for however you choose to participate on this forum (good, bad and ugly) because it is all about us being connected and not alone in whatever we are experiencing that warrants a post.
Yay mama's!
Yeah...codeine. ;) And gratitude to the occasional papa too:)

Awwww, so nice! Codeine always makes me sappy too!!
tehehe
But I agree, awesome ladies here, every single one!
The differences of opinions are just the point!
(I could make another joke (in your husband's honor) about how even when you can't actually TALK to are always sayin' something!)
Feel better!
:)
added*I mean your PARTNER'S honor, sorry
What a beautiful post! And THANK YOU for putting down so eloquently how I'm sure many of us Mamas feel!! Bless you and have a wonderful 2011. = )
Well put. Lots of mamapedia bashing today but I love this forum too.
I prefer a forum where people feel free to express their opinion about the topics on here and I don't believe that this site is filled with trolls or rude people. Overall, I enjoy reading different views than mine and feel more connected to a variety of people rather than my own bubble.
Cheers!
I agree completely.
I'll have whatever she's having...make mine a double!
:) :) :)
