Try www.fastweb.com its a great resource, there are TONS of grants and scholarships that are available, to just about anyone! Good luck!
My question pertains to my husband, not our child, but hopefully some of you have been through this and can help.
My husband began graduate school this semester to obtain his master's in music composition. What I am looking for now are good places to search and apply for grant and scholarship money. College is so expensive and we already have thousands of dollars of debt from his undergrad degree. While I know that his graduate degree is a BIG step towards our stability and am very supportive in this decision we do know that in the meantime, it is going to incur quire a bit of expense and I would like to do anything I can to lessen the burden. Any pointers in the right direction would be fabulous - I don't want to get scammed on something that is not legit.

Hi,
There are also these huge books at the public libraries filled with places that want to give away money to students. That's how we got some scholarship money for my husband's college.
Try going to the financial aid office in the school and ask someone who works there. This is the best way to find out what is available and it is free. Also there are state grants that you can look into. If the college has a web site then you could just look from home. USM has a link to an entire list of grants and scholarships with the requirements.
Depending on your income you can apply for a Pell Grant you have to fill out a Fasfa on the web and go from there. The sooner the better. You need to fill it out from your tax information on 2007 taxes. My child qualified for a full pell each year while in college.
