Hi ladies,
I walked through JC Penny's the other week and they had sweatshirts with birds embroidered on them, she loves birds (She's 90) and I should have bought one then. Of course, I went back tonight (now that I know her size - L) and they are out. All that are left are the "I'm a great grandma" type sweatshirts.
I'd love to find her (online or in a store) a nice warm sweatshirt with something on the front that she'd think was "pretty"... birds or flowers or something. I tried our local Sears at the mall, and they didn't have anything.
Ideas on where to look? My pricepoint is $25 or less... she'd be mad if I spent more than that on her... she really doesn't need anything, but I think she'd look nice with the little ladies in her assisted living home in a nice new sweatshirt :)

We went to Kohls today and found one for $12.99. It's MUCH nicer than the ones I looked at in Sears and has a cute snowman on it. She'll love it. Kohls isn't in my normal shopping path since we moved, so thank you for suggesting it!
I order stuff for my Grandma from catalogfavorites.com all the time--don't know if you could spend less than $25, but they are very nice. My gran has never been disappointed or fussed that I spent a few dollars on her!

I worked for Penney's for 3.5 yrs. Any associate can call another store in your area to if they have the shirt. Penney's will mail the shirt to you at no extra charge. You have to be in the store to place this order since you will need to use a credit/debit card and Penney's associates are not allowed to take a credit/debit card transaction over to phone because of fraud issues.
You can purchase a gift card and the associate can read that number off to the associate in the other store if yo are not comfortable using your card.
why dont you make one?? get a plain sweatshirt an use puff paint-my mom did this for me about 20 yrs..its still holding out really good...she died 12 yrs ago-i just cherish it...good luck...happy holidaze...
Penney's might have them online. Otherwise, Walmart or Kohl's. My grandma likes them too. (-:

I didn't see any with birds, but if you keep searching, you might have better luck. I am sure you will find something nice!
This style of sweat shirt is popular. I find them at nearly all stores, including Fred Meyers or Kroger, K-Mart, Walgreens, Macy's: Any department store or general store. You might ask. Penney's or Sears may even get in another shipment before Christmas.
