I just heard on a talk show that Neutrogena with helioplex is #1. DONT GET AVEENO BABY! I bought it because it was more expensive. It sucks and leaves sunscreen "crumbs" everywhere. It doesnt go on smoothly.
I'm looking for a great sunscreen that will actually work. I used the Water Babies SPF 60 all weekend, applying it throughout the day, and my 1 year old still got a little burned. He's very fair skinned, and I need something to protect him! The burn is only on his shoulders, and a little on his face, but it doesn't seem to bother him at all. Any moms out there who know a great sunblock I can try? We're an outdoors family, so I really appreciate your help!

we have a pool in our backyard and we have two little boys, so we use a LOT of sunscreen. the ONLY kind i have found that doesn't come off and we have NEVER been burned using is aveeno. and do NOT get the aveeno baby, for whatever reason it has a film to it that seems to wash away a bit easier. just get the regular aveeno 45 and get the aveeno 30 or 70 for faces(we've never burned using the 30), and you should be fine. we have been known to swim 8 hours with ONE application with NO trouble, just be SURE to apply it to DRY skin. good luck!
check out coolibar.com They sell all sorts of protective sun gear, including a good sunscreen called Blue Lizard. I do think you can get this at some stores, but I do not know which store to refer you to.
We love California Baby Sunscreen. Our daughter is very fair, and it works really well. I also love the sunscreen stick they have for the face. It is wonderfully easy to use.
Hi B.!
Arbonne's botanically-based sunscreen formulated especially for babies is very effective! You are a good parent to seek out the best for your baby because most of the sun damage to our skin occurs before the age of 18! I can get you samples to try. Let me know if you are interested!

Melaleuca has a great sunscreen that works very well. I really love that it does not contain preservatives like formaldehyde and other harmful chemicals.

My son, who is now two, can only wear Arbonne baby sunscrean. I've tried BullFrog, Sunbaby, BurtsBees, Aveeno, everything. He is very fair skinned, blonde headed baby. Arbonne is the only think that doesn't break him out, doesn't irritate his eczema, and protects him. If you'd like a sample, iw ould like to send you some!!
Blessings,

My dermatologist just told us that Neutrogena dry touch is the best. It has helioplex in it that protects against both UVA and UVB rays. It is perfectly safe for children over 6 months.
