Hi,
I'm trying to find a good pre-school for my 2 yr old daughter near Audubon, PA and would like any information/recommendation you can provide. I'm new to Pennsylvania, so I'm just getting started with this. I've been to The Goddard School in East Norriton, Chesterbrook Academy in Audubon (huge waiting list) and have an app't at a KinderCare facility in Norristown next week. Would like for her to attend a few hours/2-3 days a week and she's not potty trained. Thanks for any information!

What can I do next?

I cannot agree with the recommendation for TCNSK mentioned below, our experience was very disappointing.
Expensive tuition and application fees
Long and disorganized car lines, expect 15-20 minute waits in the morning and no chance to talk to your child's teacher.
Large classes, our class had 13 students in it (two teachers)
Constant pressure to buy overpriced books, gifts and prepackaged food in the name of fund-raising
School closes at the drop of a hat during January and February. I would estimate there were less than 15 days of school during those two months.
You will end up with an impressive pile of projects, 90% of which were done by the teacher.

Trinity Country Nursery School & Kindergarten, 1190 Valley Forge Road - P.O. Box 340 - Fairview Village, PA. 19409 - ###-###-#### www.tcnsk.com (Close to Intersection Valley Forge Road & Germantown Pike) surrounding areas are Norristown 19403, Worcester & Eagleville.
They have am 18 month, 2yr, 3 yr, 4 yr, & kindergarten programs. My son is in the 2 yr. He goes Tues & Thurs 9 - 11:30. I'm not sure if there are any spots available. I know htey just added two kids in my son's class but I think his class is now at the max. But there is another 2 yr class. They have a great reputation! Let me know if you need any other info.

Hello. I lived in Audubon for 5 years until recently, I moved to collegeville. I have a 16 month old and she goes to Bright Horizons in King oif Prussia. Its about a 20 min drive from Audubon. It is WONDERFUL there. I wouldnt have her go anywhere else. Even though I moved to Collegeville, I still make the drive to King of Prussia. There is also one on Egypt Rd in Oaks (near Lowes).
I really checked around when I was looking into day cares and I can say my second choice would have been The Goddard School in East Norriton. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT go to the Malvern School on Trooper Rd. DO NOT! My little girl went there a few days and I pulled her out. Its AWFUL! Any other questions, please let me know. Good luck!

My daughter went to St. Andrews Nursery School on Egypt Rd. But their program starts at 3 years old. My daughter just started kindergarten this year and I feel that she was well prepared for the transition.

Also, I know that people like Trinity Nursery School on route 363 and Methacton Mennonite. They have programs for 2 year olds, I think. The Audubon YMCA also has a preschool and daycare program, but I don't know much about it.

Hope that helps!
Jen

Hi G.:

My son Colin is 26 months and has gone to Short Stuff in Audubon on Trooper Rd. for the last 10 months. It is a wonderful school with great, caring teachers. The rooms are bright, clean and the kids learn so much there!

I am not sure about part-time hours because my son attends full time but give them a call and check. Ask for B..

Good luck,
B.
