My kids all (4) went to Primrose in Coppell. They are awesome! The director has been there for a very long time, and so have many of the teachers. I couldn't recommend them higher.
A future colleague is relocating to Dallas from Califonia. He has a three year old and is looking for a good pre-school in the Coppell, Irving, or Valley Ranch area. I told him that I would pose this question for his wife. Thank you, in advance, for your help and suggestions.

My son went to Spanish Schoolhouse for three years and we LOVED it!!! They do all the typical preschool stuff - just all in Spanish. I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to go to Spanish Schoolhouse next year - we just loved it that much!!!
I am a parent at Kids R Kids in Irving/Coppell/V.R. area and we have been nothing but thrilled with the advancements in our child's learning. There overall goal was to get my child ready for Kindergarten and that is exactly what they did. He left his pre-k class reading. They made the transition to kindergarten virtually easy. His K and 1st grade teachers have continued to be impressed by his knowledge and skills..and I firmly believe that I owe that to the family of Kids R Kids for giving him the foundation.
I second the comments about Primrose in Coppell. We have appreciated many aspects - the academics, the various "fun" activities, the wonderful teaching staff, the directors. Best wishes to your colleague in finding the right fit for her family.
My 4 year old son attends Creme de la Creme in Coppell. We absolutely love the school. They change classes every thirty minutes. He is currently taking music, computer, spanish, reading, math, handwriting, Krem-Tv, and tennis. We tried Children's Courtyard and Kindercare before transferring to Creme and we saw a huge difference once we went to Creme. My son recognizes sight words, he knows his days of the week, can count to 100 ,and he speaks a little Spanish. It always amazes me what he learns. I can't speak enough about the school.
Try www.savvysource.com. Your friend can find preschool information and parent reviews there. Good luck!
Hello K.!
We live in Valley Ranch and we LOVE CCDC (Coppell Child Development Center) in Coppell. It is right off of Wrangler, which is right off of Beltline/Denton Tap.
Have her call Lisa at ###-###-#### to schedule a tour. (tell her that E. M. sent her). Summer school is in session right now, so she is there from 9-1:30 T/W/Th.
My 4 year old daughter has gone there for 2 years and has one more year there before kindergarten and they are really prepping her well for school with reading, writing, computers, Spanish, etc.). The teachers are wonderful and full of love for the kids. It is also Christian-based, so if that is important to your colleague, it is there.
Good luck!
Hi K.,
I live in Valley Ranch and there is a wonderful, private pre-school and daycare called Discover & Share. It's very conveniently located at Beltline and MacArthur, which is a major intersection in Coppell and only about a minute from Valley Ranch.
The school is accredited by NAEYC (National Association for Early Childhood Education), which only 4% of Texas
early childhood programs achieve.
I have my infant there. So, my experience is only with their infant program. But, I've heard that the pre-school program is excellent.
What I can tell you is that part of my research involved looking over the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services' website at http://www.dfps.state.tx.us/Child_Care/Search_Texas_Child.... Discover & Share had the least (perhaps none? I'm struggling to remember) number of "violations" of any childcare facility in the VR area...at the most, perhaps one of two combined over the past few inspections (any violations were minor, such as not having up-to-date administrative & process documentation, and nothing to do with more major things like safety or teacher-to-student ratios, which some of the other schools had).
Another thing that sold us on Discover & Share was their teacher turnover, which is very low compared to other facilities.
They also have video cameras in each classroom, so that you can check on your sweetheart every day via the web. They record the whole day, too. So, if you didn't get a chance to sign in during the day, you can access the day's recording that night.
The school is owned by Suzanne Schoenthaler and her husband. Suzanne is there every day and greets the parents personally.
Their website is http://www.discoverandshare.com/ and their phone number is ###-###-####.
Let me know if I can help you or your colleague further. My person e-mail address is ____@____.com if he/she wants to learn more about the area.

Check out pierce private day school www.piercepds.com and also www.cremedelacreme.com
Discover and Share Private Preschool and Daycare at Beltline and MacArthur. They are privately owned and accredited. The owners are an husband and wife team. She has over 30 years experience with education and he has a background in business. They are very personable. They have a website. Google... Discover and Share. This school is located in Coppell a minute from the Valley Ranch area. My child attended preschool and kinder due to his not being 5 by Sept. 1 per state rules for public school. They provided him with a great background and he did very well in public school due to his experience with them.
I love Miss Bloomindales - the are in Las Colinas (Irving)
here's the site.

Here are several that I know of.
Butterfly School at Riverside Church of Christ
Stringfellow School at First United Methodist
First Baptist Church of Coppell
Valley Ranch Baptist
My daughter attended Valley Ranch Baptist Preschool and we loved it! The staff was very caring, warm and friendly. My daughter loved it and we felt great about having her in such a nurturing environment. Here's a link: http://www.vrbc.net/preschool
www.spanishschoolhouse.com It is a wonderful school and they have a location in Coppell. Our little girl went to the one in Frisco for over 2 years and really enjoyed it. And she can speak Spanish (although she understands more then she speaks) Our elementary offers a Spanish program, as I think most do now so we're just going to keep her up on it. I think children really benefit from this school and the staff is wonderful! Good Luck, I know how hard finding a good pre-school is.
I would recommend checking out Coppell Child Development Center (aka CCDC). My little boy went there for several years and we really loved it. He's now most definitely ready to start Kindergarten this fall.
The address is: 1203 Crestside Dr # 100, Coppell, TX 75019
Phone number: ###-###-#### - I would ask to speak with Lisa to get a lot of your questions answered and then the parents can even come up and take a tour of the school and meet with Julie (the owner) and see for themselves.
Best of luck!
Reading Friends in Lewisville is a very good, academic program. I am the Director. The curriculum is structured and the teachers are wonderful! Depending on where in Coppell, it might not be too far. To learn more, visit www.readingfriends.org or call me at ###-###-####.
Thanks,
M.
My son is in the early pre-K program at Children's Courtyard in Valley Ranch. He loves his teachers and he always seems like he is happy. They have a couple of cameras in each of the rooms, so you can peek in over the internet. Because of the ever-changing Dallas weather, the indoor play area is awesome. The kids always have the chance to run around and be kids even when the weather is awful outside. I also like the fact that the day isn't overly structured. Of course, they have some sort of a schedule, but it isn't so rigid. I think kids that age need more free play time rather than a bunch of forced activities.
I hope that helps!
