Dr. Lewis is an absolutely wonderful pediatrician. She eased all of my worries and didn't make me feel like my questions were not important or like I was wasting her time. Both her and her staff have been fabulous thus far and they have helped to make the transition into parenthood very successful. I would highly recommend her practice to anyone that I meet.

If you are referring to a Mary Lewis on Joliet Road, we have used them for the past 3 years (since we moved here) and have had no issues. They are almost always timely with appointments - and except for one of the nurses - I like all the Dr's in the practice.

We see Dr. Corte at Lagrange Pediatrics (across from Dominicks on Willow Springs Rd). She is wonderful with our twin girls - very kind and approachable. Don't know about Dr. Lewis. Good luck.

I take my son to Dr Lewis and I think she is great. She is very open to me as a chiropractor. She respects my opinion and decision to not give my son all the vaccines out there. She is very personable and friendly to my son. I can always get him in at a drop of a hat. And she doesnt give unneccesary meds and antibiotics when not really needed. I highly recommend her.

We just began using Dr. Lewis in January and so far have been very pleased. My OB had suggested her office for our needs and so far we have had no complaints. It has been very easy to get in for sick visits, talk to a nurse for a quick question or two and she is on time, which when waiting with a 2 year old and a 3 month old is very important. Her office is not run like a corporation, you get the personal attention you deserve. Also, she is on staff at Children's Memorial, so if you ever need services there you have an instant connection. We used to use Dupage Medical in Naperville and so far have been very happy with our change. Hope this helps!

My kids have been going there for three years. They are always on time, I have never waited once. The staff is wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable. They always know me and my kids by name. I never feel rushed. They have always taken their time to answer any of my concerns. I really like both Dr. Lewis and Dr. Laskonis. I believe they have a new doctor starting in June. My girlfriend has a daughter with special needs who also goes to this practice and she has been very happy with them too.

D.,

I think Dr. Lewis and Dr. Laskonis know their stuff...but they're not the warm and fuzzy types. I prefer doctors who are a little more focused on the kids, rather than just getting you in and out (feels too mechanical for me; like they're on auto-pilot). But I know several moms who really like these doctors, so this obviously doesn't matter to everyone. You know yourself better than anyone so it's up to you if you think you'd be happy with them.

I also want to mention a couple other things about the office:
First of all, the nurses are great...but they never take my son's temp when we come in for a sick visit (which seems very odd to me), and they rarely weigh him (I thought this was needed to determine the correct dosage of medicine). That said, they are very nice and good with my son.
On the contrary, the reception staff is HORRIBLE. They are curt, rude and although they acknowledge you on your way in (after all, they want their co-pay), it's like pulling teeth to get them to acknowledge you on your way out (like when you need to make a follow-up appt.). I am most unhappy with this aspect of Dr. Lewis' office.

I hope this review helps with your decision. As I said, the doctors themselves are very good, just not the type of personalities that click best with me. Good luck!
