Good Pediatric Dentist in South Minneapolis/ Babies and Bug Spray

Does anyone know of a good pediatric dentist in south Minneapolis? I live near lake Nokomis, so anything around that area would be especially helpful.

Also, I am wondering about bug spray for infants. We are going to be doing a lot of camping this summer, and I don't want my little one having to deal with those nasty mosquitos. Is there a good, safe brand for babies? If not, what do other moms use?
Thanks!

I absolutely love Dave Elgethun at Dentistry for Children and Adolescents in Edina. He is the third dentist we went to when my 18 month-old needed fillings and caps--so I am picky!

The <a href="http://www.cretzmeyer.com/services/childrens-dentistry/&q... dentist Minneapolis, MN</a> is my #1 choice for all tips and services. Also, I am not one to use bug spray, or have I ever, but I did hear a little bit about apparent health effects from long-term use. I didn't let it come to mind since I don't need to worry but you might want to look into it if you can.

I have heard that you can put bounce fabric sheets around or tied on to your children and they keep the bugs away. I have a 3 month old and have been doing it so far when we go outside and it seems to work. The bugs arent that bad yet. I have also read that the bug spray with picaridin is safer than deet. Also, they have skin-so-soft by avon which Ive heard works. Hope this helps.

We just got back from a dentist appt (my son is 3). We went to Dentistry for Children and Adolescents in Centennial Lakes (Edina). They are GREAT!!!! From the nice, kid-friendly waiting room to the terrific staff, I highly recommend it! The woman (Darla), who cleaned my son's teeth was excellent! She showed him and let him touch every instrument before she used it and it was so not scary. The dentist we see is Dr. King. He wore sunglasses, got to watch the whole cleaning in a mirror and got his picture taken when he was done. He also got stickers, a toy, and a new toothbrush :) Let me know if you need any more info or a number.

I saw her on this site: www.parentcompanion.com and I love that site too! ...and when you register (it's free and they don't spam you) they'll send you two free tickets to the water parks of America valued at $80! Have fun and good luck with your Pediatric Dentist. ...oh, and I used to live right by Lake Nokomis, so I know it's not far, she's just right off Hwy 62. :)
