I just had my second baby and I am nursing again before nursing I was a 36DD and of course am now a little larger 38F my questions is has anyone found a good supportive nursing bra for larger busted women that doesn't cost a 100 bucks.Looking at stores the biggest cup size I can find is DD and the smallest band size a 40 which does the job but doesn't look so great.

What can I do next?

I love Maternal Instinct in Sandy, UT. The owner is an internationally known lactation educator and is great at helping fit you for EXACTLY what fits and feels good. Her bras are about $30 (if I remember correctly).

You sound like me :-) I'm not sure what you have up there in Idaho, but I'm sure you have some bra shops, or a big box store. I went from a 32DDD to a 32H with my first!!!!! I went to the store, found a bra that fit, and then took it to a tailor and had them put eye-hooks on it and turn it into a nursing bra. You can also find a cup that fits and then have them take in the back of the bra (something else I had to do). It's definitely worth the comfort!!! I bought a super comfortable sports bra by a company called Anita--- go to www.anita.com.
Good luck!

Yes - Motherhood. I wear a 44E and found a great "sexy" black lace nursing bra there for under $25. I also wear the light cotton ones from there at home and for just lounging around.

Congrats on Baby #2 and kudos for nursing!!

I agree with the first post, I wore a 32G and they were impossible to find cheap.

I tried the bravado's and the motherhoods, but they didnt cut it.

although it pained me to spend the money, I did it and my chest felt better b/c it was properly supported.

Breakoutbras is great b/c they give u a 10% repeat discount code, so on your first order only order one so u get the code!!

Where I live there are stores that specialize in nursing and babies so I went there to get properly measured, maybe u can find one of those places!

Good luck!

This is something I can totally relate to! I have a similar struggle with larger breasts while nursing, except I have very small ribs so it has been even more difficult for me to find a bra. I will tell you that you won't find a bra that fits you in a store unless you go to a specialty bra store. Even then sometimes you might not find something that fits. The only thing I can do to find a bra is turn to the internet. This can be difficult because you want to try the bra on to make sure it fits well, but this is probably your only option. The best site I've found, and the only place I can find bras to fit me, is called breakoutbras.com. They guarantee the lowest prices, have free shipping, and give you discounts on future purchases. They also have an incredible tutorial section on how to measure yourself correctly and to make sure it fits properly. Every time I've ever been measured by a "professional" I've always been disappointed with my purchases. It wasn't until I came across this site until I realized that I was being told the incorrect band size. The people in the stores would tell me I'm a 34 band, when I'm really a 30 band. Get someone you feel comfortable with to help you out with this. If you need help, they have awesome customer service, just call them and they will give you great advice. They do take returns, just make sure you read the details of the return policy so you don't do something that will make you not get your money back. Good luck!

I was also going to recommend Maternal Instincts but I see you're in Idaho. Do some research and find a specialty store near you. No matter what size you think you are, you can be way off and different brands measure slightly different. It's best to have someone fit you. Good luck!

It's been awhile for me, but as another lady whose "cup runneth over," I'd recommend checking out Title Nine Sports catalog online. They used to have a sports/nursing bra with adjustable fit that was available in larger cup sizes, and they don't assume that large cup equals large band. I have not seen the nursing bra in the paper catalog in awhile, but if you called them, they could tell you whether they have it (they are a helpful, friendly company), and if they no longer carry it they may be able to direct you to someone else who can help.

Check out www.bosombuddies.com. If you have questions, email or call and they can help you out. Bras in your size (which is NOT unusual!) range from about $45-$75 and there is such a thing as a very supportive nursing bra in your size.

I buy mine at Lane Bryant. The Cacique brand is around $40 and very supportive.

Hi, Bravado bras rock. I am a 34D not pregnant and last time around was an H while initially nursing. I took a M++ in their sizing.

I wear a 32FF, it's impossible to find for cheap. Here are my favorite websites:
biggerbras.com
breakoutbras.com
figleaves.com
barenecessities.com

I also look on froogle.com and Ebay when I know the exact size and style I want to buy.

Look for specialty bra stores in your area. In Denver we have Bosom Buddies, a store that sells nursing bras for all sizes, and they have a large selection of ones for larger busts. Maybe there is a similar store near you.

Or, you can order directly from the manufacturer. I like Medela's bras and I ordered some from them when I was pregnant. Just make sure you can return them.

Hi,

Well, I don't have an answer for an official nursing bra, but I'm nursing my fifth and I generally just get a comfortable and not-too-tight sports bra. Sure, I deal with the "uni-boob" for a year, but heck--I'm used to it by now!
