I believe you should actually go to a store and try out several mattresses before you buy one. How can you tell by looking online if a mattress is actually comfortable. I have a plush top Simmons Beauty Rest and love it.
Hi, I am thinking to purchase a queen size mattress preferably on the firmer side. My budget is not too much to spare though. While browsing I have come across some companies offering 100 nights and even 365 nights free trial period. Please suggest reliable ones along with your experience with the company too. Thank you!

Go to a store and try them out. There are discount stores and deals everywhere.
Once you figure out a brand you think you’ll like, also check out online neighborhood sales for someone downsizing or something.
Our choice was a Sleep Number. Not cheap but a great bed. I love it!
i definitely recommend the sleep number. we've got one of the lower end ones (they're expensive) and it's been terrific. it doesn't have bells and whistles like raising and lowering, but he and i can both adjust our firmness to where we want it, and tweak it when it needs it.
we've had it for about 7 years now and i'd buy another in a heartbeat.
oh, the first one we got had a leak. they promptly sent out another, no hassle.

I think it's a really personal decision. One thing you might do is check Consumer Reports to see if they've done any comparisons recently. They usually include things like how well a mattress holds up, and what they see as a "best value" choice. They give prices and that will help you know if what a retailer is charging is on target, a bargain, or way overpriced.
My daughter and husband bought their first mattress, king size, from a discount store and paid nearly half of it's retail price. The box springs didn't match the mattress but they are still the same quality.
Last summer, I bought a mattress from Mattress Firm. It came rolled up and sits on a frame when unrolled, so the mattress doesn't need a box frame. As B said, the frame allows for more storage because it's legs are taller, allowing you the use space that would be taken up by the box spring.
The frame folds up. The mattress is flexible when off the frame. Both are light weight and easily moved. My neighbor bought a similar king size arrangement from IKEA. This is the only way they could have a king upstairs. They also like the mattress.
I've moved several times in my life and always had difficulty moving them because of the weight and bulk of the mattress, box springs, and frame. Our King size mattress had to be lifted to a second floor balconey in one house.
I wasn't sure that such a light weight mattress could give me the support I wanted. I lay on 3 sizes in the lower price range. Mine is a double and and with the frame cost around $5-600. I've been using it for 8 months and like it. I feel supported.
The mattress has interior support. Looks and sleeps like mattresses I've used before. Only it's much easier to move to another place in the room or up the stairs.
The only change I'd make is to have higher "wall" on sides of frame. The mattress slips easily off the frame. I push it back to fit the frame when I change sheets.
I've always been satisfied with mattresses as have friends so I don't know how the try out period works. Mattress Frame has a trial period. I'm sure there is criteria for try out period longer than a month or two. I can't see a 365 month period if there is nothing wrong with mattress. I've never understood how they could make that offer.
We got new mattresses (our bed and our sons bed) a few years ago and are very happy with them.
Mattress Discounters was where we got them but they've been merged into Mattress Firm now along with a bunch of other mattress stores.
We went to several places and had a lie down on several models to determine what would be comfortable.
Perhaps you should look over what Consumers Reports has to say about mattresses.
There's a lot to think about.
We ultimately got a supportive mattress frame (so no box spring is needed) and we love it.

Where the old mattress box spring made a lot of noise this new frame is silent - no squeaky springs - has storage space under the bed and it folds up compactly in case you need to move it.
Mattress preferences vary widely.
You want something that's right for you, not too hard or soft, that doesn't hold too much heat, that will work for you if you sleep on your back, side or stomach.
I have a Simmons (bowling ball ad) mattress. It's due to be changed out, but has served us well. You can get different levels of comfort and toppers. Other people in my family tried it out and purchased for themselves.
I have friends who bought one, exchanged for another - the guy came to their house. So service must be pretty good.
We bought two for kids - not as high end as ours, but for kiddos and guests have slept on those and had good night sleeps also.
We ordered the firm from Costco sight unseen. It’s very nice.
My daughter has a Lisa. She loves it.
You really need to go to a mattress store and lay on mattresses.
We have a Sleep Number I10. It was not cheap, a little over $2,500. But it's been the best sleep we've had.
