Can anyone recommend any good dance schools for toddlers in the Philadelphia, Abington or Chestnut Hill areas? I want my daughter to take ballet lessons. I visited some schools and was not impressed with their programs.
Thanks

My daughter just started at the Metropolitan Ballet Academy. It is on Cedar Road in Jenkintown. I love this school because it is a REAL dance school. Not teens teaching your children how to shake their butts and dance around like they are at a club. Age appropriate. My daughter is in the 3-6 creative movement class. It has a lot of ballet technique with fun movement as well. Hope this helps

Koresh on Chestnut near 20th. I think the website is koreshdance.org Then click on children's classes. My 4-year old loves it. They won "best of philly" for children's classes. They are strict with dress code, attendance etc. But that's good for my kid.

Hi A., I am going to put my daughter in Carol Ann School of Dance. 80 2nd Street Pike Ste 1
Southampton, PA 18966 ###-###-####
My daughter is 4 1/2 and this is going to be her second semester there. (winter being the first)
I, like you, were not impressed by many other schools I visited and talked to. I chose Ms Carol Ann's (that's owners name) because she has people skills and their program for up to 8 yrs old, is combo classes (ballet and tap incrementing in difficulty) and hip-hop (a separate class). Most importantly, classes are FUN at the same time. My daughter loves her classes.
Hope this helps!

i think for a toddler, you are not necessarily looking for a "good" dancing school rather than the dancing school that fits you and your daughter...my daughter was three and went to a popular dancing school in south philly, however, it was a little overwhelming and she was shy...so i went to a smaller more comfortable school and it was wonderful...she is 10 1/2 now and we just tranferred back to that original popular studio b/c she can handle the atmosphere now.
