Hello! My mom's digital camera is old, slow, etc. and I'd like to get her a new one for her upcoming birthday. Can anyone recommend an easy, fairly low cost, digital one? Pretty much she just takes pictures, and prints at the store. Thank you!

Hi A.,
We got my grandma a camera last year, I don't remember the brand, I think it was a canon. My grandma requested that the camera had a window to look through with your eye and not just the screen because sometimes there is a glare on screen that make it difficult to see. Also that the buttons are large enough for her to use (a lot of cameras are pretty small) and the fewer buttons the better. Ease of use is extremely important. Ask a salesman at a camera store where you can try the cameras, such as Best Buy, and then shop around for the cheapest price once you know what you want. Not all stores have the cameras hooked up to a power source so you are unable to see how easy or difficult they are to use.
Hope that helps!

I'd look on the internet and see if you have a local camera shop that you might be able to call and ask for a recommendation. We've had great luck with Canon's, and the prices are coming way down vs. past years. We have a local camera shop that knows the pros and cons to each and has helped us make selections for the past few we've purchased (even talked us out of what we thought we wanted)

I love my Kodak EasyShare camera...there are several models to chose from, with different megapixels, etc. Some of them run under $100. I've bought one for my son and one for my step-daughter too. The camera is simple to use. Some of them the screen stays on all the time, some you turn the screen on when you want to (saves on battery power).
At work we have a Cannon that we use sometimes. I find it difficult to use because nothing is clearly marked...the buttons are difficult to understand what is what.

good luck!

buy sony or olympia. We have a cannon and it sucks big time. I can take a clear picture with it everytime my husband takes a picture its fuzy blurry terrible. I want a new one too. Make sure you buy her one that goes on a charger. The ones who take batteries are a pain they need to be changed like everother time you use it. good luck would love to know whichone you buy and how it is for me thank you.
