Golden Retriever to Good Home

We have a 2-3 year old spayed female Golden Retriever that we would like to find a new home for. We just don't have the time to spend with her. She is very sweet, needs a little obedience training. She is up to date on all her vaccinations and has always been healthy. She lives inside only and we want to keep it that way. She is great with all kids, but would be best for children that are a little bit older because she can be really rambunctous. She has never met a stranger, loves other dogs and cats. I would like all those that are interested to answer a few questions so we can make sure she gets the best home. We are asking $100 for her

What can I do next?

L.,

The other person who posted mentioned Golden Retriever Rescue. I have a very good friend who fosters dogs for them & is very involved with the organization. If you are interested just message me & I'll get you her info. Good luck finding a great new home for your dog.

Here is my response to a similar post a week or two ago but about a different breed of dog:

If you can find someone you know personally to take her or someone that you've talked to and feel would give her a good home, by all means go that route. However, if you can't find someone you trust enough to give her a good home, and you're running out of options, I recommend a rescue group. Their screening processes are most times very thorough and the ones we've dealt with are very protective of who the dogs are adopted by(I mean this in a good way).

A golden retriever rescue group is even better! Most times with specific breed rescue groups, the person looking to adopt has done research on the breed and knows prior to adoption what to expect when it comes to their quirks and traits.

Good luck in finding the right home for her. :)

have you tried taking her to doggie day care or hiring a dog walker?

What about Golden Retriever Rescue? At least that way, you'll know the families have been screened and approved for adoption...
