Hi Moms & Dads,

We are going to Disney in March. Starting to do the planning now. I have a 2 year old and 5 year old and trying to decide what stroller to bring. Do I bring the single one for my 2 year old, or do we rent a double one for both? What has your experience been..

We are only doing magic kingdom.. for 2 days.

Thanks.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks.. I guess we have to stay on property. there is a discount/deal they will deliver one to the room. $35 first day and $9 each additional day.

We are going to bring our single one for the air port, as we are also flying into Tampa, to stay with my parents.. so we will have our jogger with us, we only have a sit n stand . which I don;t thik will work. If he gets tired, he can sti, but not rest. with the double stroller he can rest.

Food for thgouth about two single ones, but I think the double will be great, We have no amtion of seperating.

We used a double stroller (rented) for 2 days back in December for 3/5 year olds and it was great. I suggest renting one because if you JUST have one, one kid will want to ride when the other is...or may ask you to carry him/her! This way they are both harnessed in safely and you do not have to worry about losing them in crowds.

Just took all of our kids to disney. My four old did not need a stroller at all, but did spend a couple hours on daddy's shoulders. The stroller is more useful for bringing the waters and snacks into the park. Maybe with the stroller they will both nap in the stroller, but not as big a deal if you are on property.
I would vote to rent too. Less hassle.

Just came from there & we did 2 single umbrella type strollers (the one’s that still recline). BEST THING EVER because it was easier to maneuver around the crowds (our are 3 &5) and if we wanted to do separate activities we just split up

You most definitely need a stroller. If you rent the double at the park its about $30 a day or $27 each day for multiple days. I would bring the one you have and rent a single there if you need it because when you return the rented one, you still have to get the kids to the bus, boat, monorail to get back to the hotel . You will be carrying two kids the whole way . Have a magical trip!

For those ages - NOTHING
We went when our kids were that age and it was only once that I used a stroller. The park was open till 2 am and hubby took the older one on rides while the younger one and I went on It's a Small World 14 times. She fell asleep on the 13th time so I needed something to do with the deadweight while I was waiting for my older daughter and her dad to find us. Since it was about 1 am there were dozens of abandoned strollers and I just used one of those. Even then I could have done without a stroller.

There were no times when I felt we needed a stroller. The kids walked just fine, and when they got tired we went to a show, stopped for a snack, or hopped on a ride and they were fine. The less you have with you the easier your life is.

I would bring your single one with if you're flying b/c you won't have to carry them through the airport along with all your stuff and then its there waiting when you get off the plane.

In the park though, I'd have a double.

Get a double stroller there.

When my kids were 2, 4, and 6, we were going for a couple of hours the first night only...so we only got a single stroller. It was Christmas time and the gentleman handing out the strollers looked at our ticket, looked at us, gave us a double, and said Merry Christmas - you'll need this one!

We got a double the next 4 days. The kids took turns riding in it.

I would do a double-stroller too. At 4 and 5, our daughter really didn't have an issue walking the whole time and didn't complain much, but if you guys already need a stroller for the 3 year old (and our daughter needed it at 3), you might as well have one that can take the 5 year old as well - they do get worn out with all the walking, plus it can hold a backpack, purse, etc. Renting would be easier than trying to haul one down with you and back, especially if you are flying.

I am surprised no one mentioned to rent from a stroller company in Orlando. They deliver the stroller to the resort or hotel that you are staying. It is less expensive and they are "real" strollers. The rental ones at Disney are hard plastic (hot and sweaty) and don't really have a storage basket. MagicStrollers is just one company....look them up! It is a great way to do it, it's recommended on many of the helpful Disney tip websites. We've done that twice and loved it. My daughter was 3 and now 5 and I can't imagine not having a stroller there. Have a great time! Good decision to do 2 days of Magic Kingdom, by the way!
