1. LOTS of water...can be dehydration
2. baby prune food mixed with another better tasting one :)
3. since she is 4 you could give her a stood softener (not laxative), but you may not want to do that if you dont have to...i dont know.
recently my daughter has been having trouble pooping, and when she does they are hard little balls.i know it bothers her bc she starts crying sometimes,or she complains of her tummy hurting and wanting to throw up.any suggestions on what to give her will be a great help.i have tried the prune juice and she hates it.....thanks!

Choose between Aloe Berry Nectar or Bits n' Peaches.
The peach flavor is the one kids like most. It will fix most all stomach & digestive issues. The Berry Nectar is cranberry flavored. All these juices are 100% natural, organic and safe for your entire family.

Lots and lots of Juice...she is VERY dehydrated! I would also try Miralax.
My daughter is only 1yr, but she has the exact same problem as your daughter. Hard pellets, severe straining and grunting followed by crying spells, which inevitably leads to me "helping" her in that dept.
You could also try lots of fruits. If i'm particularly bunged up, i eat lots of strawberries---works like a charm!
Good luck! Poor baby!
hey there,
i just saw that one response was to give bananas...i would avoid them when your baby is constipated. they actually aid in congestion, not the other way around.
diluted apple juice would be good too. lots of liquids. not an apple, just juice. also try gripe water for her comfort. good luck.
I give my daughter Metamucil fiber wafers. She likes the taste (2 favors) and it doesn't take long for it to work, usually by next day. Works smoothly and you might want to look into her diet, add more fiber. ? Just a suggestion.
you may try bananas or plums. Have her drink water and lots of it. If all else falls try a ennma (not sure how you spell it) That will allow the poop to come out easier with less strain from your daughter.
I hope this helps some good luck to both of you.
Hi J., I know that when your child hurts so do you, we all love our children so much that we will do anything for them at no cost. My daughter sometimes suffers from constipation too but it has to do a lot with my daughters' diet, the foods she eats and I found that giving her some Benefiber helps her. Here recently Walgreen had an ad for children's Benefiber which is new because they didn't have it before and it comes in a powder form which you can put into anything all the foods she eats even icecream and there's no after taste either I use it myself it works real good. Hope this helps.
I don't know anything about her current diet. She should get lots of liquid. If she likes cooked carrots or sweet potatoes, either one (mashed with a little molasses) should help her.
