Hi. I am in need of you're favorite Gluten and Dairy free recipes, or websites to find them. Also any dairy free substitutions for sour cream, cheese, ect would be great! Because of my sons recent allergies, we are going to have to go gluten and dairy free, so looking for some information to start. Thanks so much in advance!

My husband is vegan and gluten-free. Polenta is great, quick and easy. Brown rice is a stable. He likes daiya cheese and vegannaise (vegan mayo). Earthbalance is a good choice for a butter-like spread. Almond milk is a favorite. Trader Joe's has a great list of gluten-free foods. They make a granola (two flavors) that he really likes. You can also get pre-cooked polenta that is shelf stable and great for in the pantry. Whole foods has frozen gluten free dough that will make it easy for you to adapt a homemade pizza night. Use regular pizza dough for everyone else as the gluten free stuff is expensive. Mexican recipes and Chinese recipes are great as there is not a lot of wheat and you can usually leave out any cheese. Popcorn is a great snack.

It is a hard change at first, but my husband is so much healthier and I have gotten good at making meals that allow folks to pick and choose options at the table. Good Luck!

All I know is, Whole Foods, has dairy free cheeses and dairy free products.
Which we have bought because my Husband does not eat animal products. We even make pizza with it.
And they have gluten free products/foods too.
Many grocery stores, carry such products nowadays. And even Costco too.

I can't help too much with gluten free, but we are dairy free around here since my hubby suddenly developed a severe reaction to dairy a few years ago.

I have NO clue if it is gluten free but tofrutti makes a dairy free sour cream and cream cheese substitute. Specialty grocery stores and kroger carry it around here. It is very close to the real deal.

We have looked for two years for a good cheese substitute and have yet to find anything my hubby likes. I feel like we have tried everything.

I cook most of our foods from scratch, so I have just learned to substitute...I use rice milk in many recipes, almond or soy milk for baking and sometimes chicken broth instead of milk (mashed potatoes).

You learn brands and tricks along the way. There is a symbol for kosher and dairy free. You learn to recognize that on foods pretty quickly. You can google it to check it out. When buying lunchmeats we stick with boarshead...except for a few items, most of their deli meats are dairy free.

Try Pinterest. I've picked up a few recipes there. Also a book by Roben Ryberg. You Won't Believe its Gluten free. She tells you how to make simple items with different flours. It's a good book as I too am just starting Gluten Free diet. Paleo for Dummies and The Gluten Free Bible are also good.
