I know you can buy them online. There are also a few bands that make plastic bottles that are Bisphenol-A free. MAM is one of them. I think they run about $10-$12 for three of them. (Target website)
Hi gang - wondering if anyone knows where to buy glass bottles in the PDX area - preferably in SE.
My baby's been using Avent Natural bottles for her expressed breast milk in daycare, but we noticed a horrible smell/taste to the milk. It was coming from the bottles since heating water in the bottle produced the same terrible effect. The bottles have always been used per manufacture's recommendations. So I'd like to switch to glass, just in case there's something iffy. I've been reading now about Bisphenol-A and am concerned with it contaminating my little one's milk. So any suggestions for where to get glass bottles would be great!

Mother Matures on 26th and SE Clinton- they have glass bottles and are a wonderful locally owned store.
We use the Evenflow glass bottles to store/freeze pumped milk and the bornfree BPA free bottles to feed him. they have better nipples and venting then the evenflow bottles. the evenflow bottles are cheapest at babies-r-us but if you are like me that place place is not one of my favorite places to visit. eek! they also sell the evenflow bottles at the providence lactation center on Burnside and 28th (right behind the laurlhurst theatre). you can buy the born free bottles at new seasons. Mother natures earth friendly baby products on clinton and 28th also sells BPA free bottles but i haven't tried that brand. good luck! good job working to minimize your babies toxic exposures!
Babies R Us sells them.
Hi,
We only use glass bottles and found our bottles at Segel's. They were a really good price. I think it is now easier to find them in stores because of the demand. I also saw some on the babies-r-us website and even at Fred Meyer. The babies-r-us store might carry them but we never go there.
We really like the glass bottles and knowing that we aren't adding chemicals to our sons milk.
We are using Dr. Brown's natural flow bottles. It comes in two sizes. We bought them from Babies R US. Very happy.
Hey there! We have been using Born Free bottles, which I know can be purchased at Whole Foods and online, not sure where else. They are not glass, but they are Bisphenol-A free. And our son is happy with the nipples too. Perhaps it's worth a try. Good luck!
I bought a bunch of glass bottles from ebay. I have a couple sizes. The 9 oz, and some smaller too. They are compatible with my playtex nipples. I got them to avoid the possible problems with plastic and the PBAs and phthlates that can be harmful to the babies.
I bought a bunch at Providence St. Vincent's Lactation office

I don't know about SE, but if you go to Babies R Us (I-5 to 217), they have a ton of glass ones to choose from.
Hi A.. I have been using the evenflo glass bottles for a long time with my twins. I LOVE them. I had to order mine online because it was just too hard to find at a nearby store. Here are couple of places online where you can buy them: www.babysupermall.com (has a 3 pack of 8oz bottles for $5.95)This is probably the cheapest place online to buy them. I used the Dr. Browns silicone nipples with these bottles and they worked well. I didn't like the nipples they came with. I just found another glass bottle company online but they are very "fancy" www.naturepure.com ($5 each bottle). I think Born Free came out with their vented glass bottles (similar to the dr. browns model) but they are expensive as well. www.newbornfree.com
Like I said, I really liked the evenflo ones and you can't beat them for the price. I have 15 of them for my twins. Great in the dishwasher too!
they have them at babies r us (in tigard) in 2 different sizes, in SE you could try Mother Natures on Clinton st. at 24th or 25th (not sure of the cross street, sorry).
