My husband and one of our good friends took our oldest two kids and their oldest two kids camping this weekend. They are having a blast and are sad to be coming home today. Us wives stayed home with the babies but went to see them yesterday during the day. My 4 yrs old son, who is a Mama's boy, said on my way out, Mommy, we're sending you off! He was glad I was leaving! What? LOL
So, I told my friend that her and I need to have a girls weekend soon and the men can keep the kids. We're both SAHM's so we're really in need of something! :)
Any suggestions of what we could do? It doesn't even have to be a whole weekend. Maybe something on a Sat and stay overnight somewhere.

My ideal girls' weekend would an afternoon movie, then a nice meal, then a leisurely stroll through the mall, followed by a hot bath in a hotel room to relax, then manis and pedis before a room service ice cream sundae at bedtime. An uninterrupted night's sleep would follow that, and then a continental breakfast before heading home.
Occasionally we get together and book a hotel room in NYC and stay there over the weekend. Visit the museums or Broadway play, nice restaurant and basically have good clean fun.
Go to Charles Penzone and get a mani-pedi. Have some wine and dinner at Eddie merlots and stay at the new Hilton....they probably have some nighttime entertainment. All on Polaris Parkway. have fun!
You can be very surprised on how cheap can be to go for a weekend to Cancun, Cozumel, Playa del Carmen or anywhere in the Riviera Maya. You can find a flight/hotel package in extremely reasonable prices and the extra expenses will depend in what you want to do/visit/go.
You know, nice expensive restaurants vs local good food restaurants without the fancy.... or spa treatments or tours vs just staying on the beach all day long... etc...
The flight there is only two hours so, it is not that crazy for just a weekend!
