My girlfriends and I are planning on meeting up at the end of February for a girls weekend. We are going to Fredericksburg - that is the only thing I wanted for my birthday since we have all been dispursed to different areas of the state within the past 8 months or so. I would love to get them a little gift or something for memory's sake. I have thought of a picture frame, painted martini glass, t-shirts, etc...but I am really not sure where to go from here. Has anyone done this before and what kinds of things did you do?!?!? Since this is my request, I would like to do a little gift of some sort... Thanks for your help!!!!!
What happened?!?!? Everyone cancelled on the weekend with the exception of my sister. We managed to buy the town out and live on chips & queso for the weekend. It was a great time - and I did not get her anything...but I will get her something and the suggestions I have received have been taken into consideration. I actually bought a really cute necklace that I may order for her as well. It is a crown - after all we are all princesses!

My mom gave me a cute little necklace for Christmas. It is sterling silver with a charm on it. You could pick out something similar like a bracelet or earings. James Avery, based out of Kerrville I believe, has some nice charms that go on sterling or leather necklaces. You could get everyone the same charm or something specific to them. I envy your trip. Have a great time.
I would encourage you to pick the picture frame. You could get a wooden one and decorate it with the date, location and a memorable quote or phrase that fits your group of friends. Then make sure that you take a group picture in Fredericksburg and send that to them to put in the frame. That way they'll be able to look at it all the time and think of each other! With the martini glasses or t-shirts, the gift only gets used occasionally, you know?
Also, we've recently re-located to Corpus! I have two awesome boys, ages 5.5 and 7.5. What ages are your boys?

Fredricksburg is an awesome, fun place. Yes get frames to take home with you, print out pictures you've taken over the weekend and mail the picture, fram and a sweet note in your own words.
