I went to South Beach with my girlfriends for a weekend and had a BLAST. We stayed right on the strip and could walk everywhere. Loved it.
Have you ever gone on vacation with just girlfriends? If so, where did you go and what did you do? We've been throwing around the idea of having a Girlfriend Vacation (some of us are on the East Coast and some on the West Coast. We prefer relaxing, low key....any ideas or suggestions?

South Beach in Miami. LOVE IT!!!
Stay on Ocean Drive, lots of activity, also lots of down time for chilling out.
canyon ranch. there's one in arizona and one in mass. also, lake austin spa in texas.... or if you'd prefer something a little less spa and a little more wine... why not napa valley?
I just went to Austin, TX w/ my husband - what a NEAT city. A bit WARM in the summer.. OR I'd suggest Vail or Beaver Creek, CO... relax, spa.... Whatever you do, have fun!
My family is on a cruise kick. Not me. Wouldn't want to take my little babies on a cruise, but the tales I hear... can't wait to go on one myself.
We take girl's trips every year to the beach and/or a mountain house. SO much fun and soooo relaxing!
My dream is a girls vacation in Sante Fe, NM. Sante Fe is quaint quaint quaint, even more so than Laguna Bch, CA.. Easy to drive around in, to die for cuisine, spas, hiking, shops, museaums, and the houses! I could spend two days just driving around looking at them). But not easy to get to. As for easy to get to and lower air fare, consider Vegas and go to an off the strip resort (nothing like gambeling losses to subsidize great accomodations!). Check out Red Rock or something similar. Great place to park it with all your pools and restaurants right there so you can focus on girl time.
Love girl trips!
Vegas can be fun, but it can also be like a cruise, too much eating and drinking around the clock. Also, it was more fun when we were in our early 30's, not so much now ten years later :(
I'm in Northern California so we've done a few wine country trips, very beautiful and relaxing. And a spa experience is always included!
My sister in law went with a group of friends to New Orleans last summer and had a blast. They loved the history and food, plus all the people are just super nice and motivated to get their city thriving again.
Have fun, I'm jealous!!!
We did Vegas and had a great time! It can be as relaxing or busy as you want it to be!
I go with a group of women every other year.
In 2005, 7 of us chartered a catamaran and sailed the British Virgin Islands for a week. Not as expensive as you'd think. What sticks in my head was $1500 for the whole week.
2007 took 14 of us to Playa del Carmen, Mexico. 2 of the women had timeshares in the same place. Again, very affordable, by the time we used air miles to get me there.
2009, 13 of us rented a beach house in Belize.
Of all of them the first one is my all time very favorite vacation! We travel a lot, but I think because there were just a few of us (compared to the other years). But more so because it was the very first time I went and just relaxed. *I had traveled some for business, but that doesn't count. How I explain it is, that the ONLY decisions I had to make was what time I was getting up, which suit I was putting on and what time I was going to bed.
Oh, and of the core group of women who usually go. . . 2 from Virginia, 2 from Colorado, 2 from here in the Kansas City area and 1 from Florida.
