Lots, gift certificates, little trophies with the name of the team on it and say best TBall coach........or a plaque with all the boys on it that says to the best coach............a baseball anything, go to Things Remembered and get them something engraved.............

You could even get them a bat......have the boys sign it......

Take care and I hope this helps.

My ex was a coach. All the "cute" things he got as gifts are now in a box in the basement. I always suggest gift cards to a sports store, Home Depot, or restaurant. Also have your child (if he/she can) write a note to the coach. My ex really liked to read what the kids wrote. It always made his day -- more than the gift!

I like your other suggestions. I was going to say that just about all men can ALWAYS use a gift card to Lowes or Home Depot.

My daughter plays rec softball in a girls league. She is a little older than your son,but we either chip in as a team, or do individual gift for the coach. Generally we get our coaches gift cards from a local restaurant or from a local sporting goods store. If we do group, each family is asked to contribute $10 if possible, or we do individual for about $25-$40, whatever your budget allows. If possible, ask his wife secretly if you can what his favorite restaurant is, or ask her for names of stores he likes. I think coaches may want a break from trpohy's and baseball themed gifts.I'd get them something they will use and enjoy.

I was in charge of the coaches gifts this year. I bought each coach ( we had 3) a coffee mug from Kodakgallery.com. Each mug had the team photo on it along with the individual coach's name (ie... Coach John). The mugs turned out awesome and I received them within a week of ordering. I then added a gift card to each for $50 to a resteraunt. Each family contributed $20 towards the gift. The coaches LOVED thier gifts!

I have been a coach of younger kids for a few years. One of the nicest gifts I have gotten is a gift certificate that I can take my whole family out to dinner. Coaches usually are volunteer and that is a lot of time that they end up spending away from their families. If each family from the team gives around $5, it turns out to be a nice gift card.

I've coached for the past several years as has my husband for another sport. We do this because it is a great way to spend time with our own kids, fit in a bit of community volunteer work and help kids learn all the good things that go hand-in-hand with team sports. Neither of us ever expects to receive a gift at the end of the season...in fact, the best thing that I can receive is a sincere thank you from the player and parent and knowing that the kids learned something and had fun.

not sure if this works, but for the past year or so i've done this for all of my daughter's teachers (preschool, ballet, babysitters) and it's been really well received. we got these ceramic markers (you can get them at any craft store but you might have to ask where they are; they're also available at "markers.com", and shipping was pretty cheap) and plain white coffee mugs (pier one or cost plus) and i wrote the teacher's name in black and had my daughter decorate them. you bake them for 1/2 hour at like 325 and they're dishwasher safe. i usually toss in a $25 gift card to starbucks or something, too. it's a very low price gift that you can do over and over again and it's really, really sweet. the one for her ballet teacher was adroable (she's 3); it had a picture of the two of them dancing and of course her "people" are circles with huge smiles and arms and legs sticking out. everyone we've given them to have loved them!
