The indoor basketball hoop is a GREAT idea! My husband and 5th grade son play it every single night.

The other suggestions would all be a hit with my 5th grader, too.

*I know you said 4th, but he would have liked them last year, too. :)

Wiffle ball set and a pack of extra wiffle balls. They are inexpensive and kids are pretty hard on them and they break easily. And the balls are always getting lost. So even if he has a wiffle ball set, he could probably use another one and for sure he could use extra balls.

If you prefer to go with basketball, you could get an indoor hoop that hooks over the back of a door.

I found some fun sports table top suction toys recently. There was one for ping pong and one for basketball. Anything like that would be great I'm sure. Other ideas, a small card game like Uno or Phase 10.
