Hello Mamas,
We have had a BIG visitor lately in our backyard and it's gross! It's a big Possum.. We saw a couple of weeks ago and saw again last night. I really think he likes our grill for in the mornings the door where the tank goes is open. I really don't like this thing, and just want it to go away. I haven't call animal control for once we go outside it runs to the neighbor backyard. Any recommendations to make sure it does not come back to our yard?
Thanks a bunch!

What can I do next?

We had a possum in our attic and were told to use fox urine to get rid of it. We bought a small bottle of it at The Feed Store (I think that's what it's called) on Main Street in Grapevine, but I'm sure you can get it at other similar places, and using disposable gloves, 'cause you don't want this stuff getting on you, put it on several cotton balls and threw them into the attic. I would think it would work the same for your little grill closet thing in the back yard (???).

Good luck!

We had a similar problem with raccoons. We called animal control and never did get a trap so we bought one ourselves at Home depot. It's a handy thing to have. Just put food in the back of it. Trap the animal and put it in the trunk of your car. Take out in the boonies and let it go in a natural area. We let our critters go at River Legacy Park in Arlington. We caught 12 raccoons and 1 possum.

Call animal control where you live and most likely they have traps you can use. We live in Irving and trapped a
number of them when we first moved to the home we live in.
Bananas or hotdogs will entice them immediately (at night)
and then you can have the trap removed. Animal control will relocate the critter to a safe area...

We had a similar problem. Not sure where you live, but if you're in Ft. Worth, call Animal Control and request a trap (they are the humane kind, it doesn't injure them). There's usually a waiting list of a few days and you have to pick it up yourself. Set some food in there and once the possum is trapped, call Animal control again and they will come pick it up and cart it off somewhere else.
