ok, I have a three year old daughter but, she was a surprise! we are now trying to get pregnant again, but I have heard a few different things about this, and now I have one last question!
During the week of fertility then the last day of actual ovulation, how many days do you actually have sex? are you supposed to have sex the day of ovulation?
I counted 10 day from the first day of my period then had sex on days 10-14 , worked all 3 times and we got pregnant the same month we started trying.
Most material you will find on this subject will recommend intimacy in the 3 days leading up to ovulation and the 3 days post in case you are off a couple of days.
To get pregnant with our second we used the at home fertility tests, and the pamplet that came with said that you should have sex 24-48 hours before you are going to ovulate. Or at least that was the "prime" time for fertilization to occur.
And with the tests it was way easier to concieve, only took three weeks and we were prego.

This is what worked for me (and my husband - he loved it).
The week I was ovulating... have sex twice a day :) Morning and night... and if you can squeeze it in, over lunch. Worked like a charm 3 times the first or second month.
The last time, my husband did non expect me to get pregnant the first month we tried (I was still nursing my 2nd son and had only had one period) but it sure did!

I found out the day after I stopped my period, I could get pregnant in no time.....might give it a shot so to speak!!

Here's how we did it. Starting 3 days after the end of my period, we had sex every other day for 10 days. I was pregnant the first cycle with my first, and the second cycle with my second.. . . and I was 42 and 44 at the time! Give it a try, it worked for us!
Have sex everyday!

I have been trying for over 2 years and I am a member of a support group of well over 1,000 ladies. You name it we have tried it. It seems to work best to test for O and do the day before, day of , and day after. For some others like myself we say just have fun with it and do not stress over it to much.
