Has anyone used this formula? My son (7 weeks) is very gassy and fussy so I tried Goodstart, only made it worse..then Isomil Soy- now he is having trouble having BM's- they are very very firm and not very regular. Ive been told to try Gentlease. What did you think?

What can I do next?

My little one was really gassy and fussy with Goodstart. We love Gentlease, it has really helped, and he eats a lot more.

My twins are doing great on it! Honestly, it never hurts to try with fussy babies.

The first post said it best: there's no miracle formula. When my son was very young, he spit up and had terrible gas with regular Enfamil/Lipil, so we switched to Gentlease and it did seem to ease his pain. He'd still spit up, but didn't have the bad bad gas that he had before. What also really helped ease his pain was Little Tummies gas drops. They're half the price of Mylacon but worked faster, lasted longer, and Joseph seemed to like the taste better.

Hi T.,
I used the "off" brand at Walmart called Parents choice Gentle for the past year and it's worked great. Saved some money too.
I had the same problem with soy too. Have you tried using the infant gas drops as well? It is very safe and they really don't digest anything from it. It just helps them to break down the gas and pass it. Also you could try a product called Gripe Water. It's all natural and could really help you out as well.
You should also keep "infant reflux" in the back of your mind if things don't get any better with a new formula and gas treatments.
Best Regards,
C.

I used this with my son until he started sitting up. He was always spitting up, but this would help alot with the gas and with the spit-up!

We had lots of problems with gas--so bad she could not eat more than a sip or 2 of milk/formula. Tried everything and Alamentum (spelling is wrong, its been awhile)by Similac (I think) finally worked. It only comes in small cans and it is fairly expensive but when she finally could get a full belly what a difference it made! Just an idea in case the Gentlease doesn't work.

Best of Luck,
M.

Hi T.,

I used Gentlease with my youngest because he was just fussy and gassy, too. It was great. We used it until he hit 3 months, then switched to regular.

Good luck!

My son started on gentlease at 8 months old. he had so many issues with gas and being fussy. It worked great for us. If it works for him you can call the company and they will send you coupons specifically for gentlease. Hope it works I know how hard it can be!!

yes...I tried that with my daughter when she was a baby. We tried every other formula and none of them seemed to work for her except for the Gentlease. It really was the only one that calmed down her tummy/gassiness.

I would give it a try. My son had a lot of problems with reflux, gas, diarreah, constipation- you name it and he had it. We tried 7 different formulas and Gentlease worked the best. It wasnt a miracle formula, but of all of them it seemed to help him feel better. Good luck.

Yes...I tried it and my son hated it. I researched and researched all types of formulas. He loved Nutramagin by Enfamil. It is totally lactose free, where gentlease is not completely lactose free. I had a really hard time breastfeeding so I was desperate. Nutramigen is the best ever! I read a lot about the soy ones...and I don't think that they are that good. Nutramagin is as gentle as it gets. It is pricey though-but worth it! Hope this helps! Good Luck!
