Does anybody know where can i get Gelato, italian ice cream? I was in NJ last week and there is a place called Rita's Italian custard ice and i loved it. I am wondering if there is a ice cream place or restaurant who serve this italian ice cream in IL area

I have seen it at Jewel before . Also if you live near Woodstock we are getting a new store that is going to be selling Gelato. Hopefully it will be as good as the Gelato sold in Italy !
There is a coffee shop in North Hoffman that sells it. I don't remember the name of the coffee shop but it is by the Walgreens on Algonquin/ Huntington Blvd.

There is a place in Hawthorn Mall that does Gelato. Also, Boardwalk Bobs in Cary does Italian Ice.

If you have a Caputos grocery store near you, they sell pints of gelato.
Also, I've found that the Edy's Frozen Yogurt (Strawberry) is really close to the texture, flavor of gelato. YUM!
