Hi ladies! I have severe abdominal pain about 3 times a year. So severe that I end up in the emergency room where all the doctor does is give me meds for the pain. They don't know what the pain is due to. I am seeking a knowledgable gastroenterologist. Anybody have any recommendations?

Bet you its your gallbladder. My neighbor had the same thing and that is what it turned out to be. She had to have it removed.
Do you have a primary physician? I would ask him or her. I would think you would need a referral from your primary doctor, but I could be wrong. I am so sorry you are dealing with this. I hope you find a solution to your problem.
Mom, if you have insurance, see who is on your medical insurance list as a Gastro Dr ; next ask your family Dr of those who he/she recommends and get in asap. Good luck with this.
Dr. Cloud - he has wonderful references (you can google him), I used him, and was very happy with him. He is located right next to Medical City in Dallas (on Merit).
I hope you feel better!
