B..
You're over-thinking this. I've never met any 7-12 year olds, where water balloons and a water slide weren't enough!! The party sounds fun, and the kids will have a blast just the way it is now!
Back to birthday party again...What easy kid games can you suggest for the birthday party? Kids range from 7-12. We have water balloons and bean bag toss game and of course the water slide...thanks.

I went to a slumber party once where the mother set up a game that was pretty fun. She got a large plastic bowl and put a sweet tart at the bottom of it. Then she filled the bowl with flour and flipped it over onto a table covered with a plastic party table cloth. The flour held it's shape with the sweet tart sitting atop the fragile dome.
We were all handed a butter knife and when it was our turn we had to slice off a section of flour. The person who made a slice that caused the sweet tart to tumble had to pick it up with their mouth and got a photo taken of themselves in the center of the group of girls as the "winner". I think we played it four times because we wanted to see who was going to end up with flour-face. After that we all just kissed the flour to get our faces floured up and took a group shot of all of us sweet-tart flour champions.
That's the only party game I remember out of all the party games I've ever played at the number of children's parties I attended when I was a little girl. Of course there were only about eight of us and we were all girls in sixth grade so I don't know how well this game would fly at a party with various ages and more than a handful of kids to take turns.
use uncooked spegetti, empty soda can.
one partner have to put spegetti in mouth, slip it through the top of the can (lift the top so it is up) the other partner put spegetti in mouth and the team who gets the can to the other side walking carefully wins.
very hard.. to do! Ton of fun!!
Have them blow up ballons, but don't tie them draw a target in the middle. Have them go one at a time and let go of the balloon, see who comes the closest to the target when their balloon lands...they're the winner
__________
Do a "cakewalk" type activity. Draw numbers on cardboard. Have the walk around to music. Stop the music, draw a number and see who the winner is. Get little prizes at the dollar store
____________
Put a bunch of items on a tray....let them look at it for about 30 seconds, take it away and see if they can write down what was on the tray...the one who gets the most wins (give little prize)
_______
BINGO
@ Nichole's Idea -- we played this game at my 12th birthday party. Only mom packed the cereal bowl with flour THEN after inverting it on a plate, added an m&m, gummy bear, whatever. Fun game. Cause in the end you get to a skinny little TOWER of flour with a treat on top. If you make it drop when you make your cut from top of the mound to the bottom touching the plate, you have to go in hands-free to retrieve it. Inevitably you laugh a little bit when you go in after it and flour sprays everywhere getting on your face/nose. Which makes for tons more laughs and giggles.
another game: Wearing oven mits (or something like that), kids must race to get dressed in a pair of oversized pants, oversized shirt, hat, boots, and so forth. Time the kids and see who can do this the fastest. It's funny to watch kids scramble to put the big clothes on over their clothes all while wearing the mits that hinder their use of fingers. If you are doing a swim party, perhaps they are to put on goggles, swim trunks, arm floaties or inner tube, flippers .....
bowling with empty milk jugs or 2 liter pop bottles Pinata - fill with small treat bags of fruit snacks or stuff from the dollar store Sidewalk chalk art for the driveway or sidewalk outside Decorate the tablecloth - get a large piece of white paper - cover the picnic table - give everyone crayons to decorate
the party tablecloth Bake sugar cookies, buy frosting and colored sugar, mini m & m's - let them frost and decorate their own cookie - wrap in plastic bags to take home in their goody bag
If you're going to have a wide range of kids, then I'd say just do the games you listed and just have a bunch of other toys out like balls, bubbles, frisbees, etc. THe kids will entertain themselves. If you want to do something organized, a pinata always goes over well, especially with that age group as they can really get some power behind their swings! ;)
You could also get a variety of temporary tattoos and set up a little table where kids can do their own.
