I am looking for a few fundraising ideas for my daughters school and preschool/daycare. I have a few ideas, but was hoping that some of you had some good fundraising tips. I'm not interested in the wrapping paper, popcorn tins or anything else that is extremely overpriced. Have any of you had a fundraiser w/Welch's Fruit snacks-if so please share your experience. Thanks so much!!!
P.S.-the problem I seem to be encountering is the pto boards unwillingness to even TRY anything, but I'm hoping that if I can go to a meeting with a bunch of different ideas maybe they will start to open up and listen

What can I do next?

Check out Great Lakes Scrip Company. Our school uses them, and I love it. The PTA buys discounted gift cards, and then resells them to families at face value. You only buy what you can use/need, and it is LOW maintenance, low cost! www.glscrip.com.

Hey here is a great idea that my daughter's school used. They took an original piece of artwork and sent it to a company called Art to Remember. They turn the artwork into a keepsake and specialize in fundraising. I just did a blog post on them over at Sprout Reviews.

I too help schools and churches raise money. My company sells everything so it's pretty easy. I have a few ways to do it.
1. They can shop from my catelog and I give my retail profit to the charity.
2. The school can register as a preferred customer on my website. The parents shop on the website and the school receives .5% cash back on all the parents purchases and the parents earn 2%-35% on their purchases. This one is a win win win for everyone. We have over 3500 partner stores like Target, Best Buy, Travelocity. Parents like this one because they can purchase things they were going to buy anyway and give a commission to the school.
3. If the charity has a 501C (I think that's it) they can have their own website and earn the 2%-35% cash back themselves and then overriding commissions on all purchases. This one brings in a ton of money.
Let me know if you want more info.

We had very active PTA's at our child's school. In Elementary we made Thousands of dollars with with " Original Artworks"... http://www.originalworks.com/

The kids do the artwork and this company puts the designs on all sorts of items. The quality is wonderful and there seemed to be a ton of choices and price points.

We also always did Fall Auctions that make about $25,000 per year. One year $45,000. It takes a huge commitment and a very strong group of parent volunteers.
