I'm just finishing up with a fundraiser through Scentsy to send my niece to an educational summer camp. My Scentsy rep set up a link on her webpage so that orders could be placed on the web. I also set up a facebook page for it, had a home party, and have distributed catalogs.

You got a lot of good ideas posted already. However, what is a Moms R Us group? There are SO many people out fundraising and so much competition with fundraising groups.

Do something to "sell" your group so you get noticed. Also, make sure you have all the proper paperwork filed with IRS and proper documentation... Many grocery stores, restaurants, etc will not donate to a group who cannot provide the 501c3 form.

Good luck to you!

Have a 'fundraising dinner' where each person donates the price that the dinner would have cost.

Boutique shopping night - we have a local boutique that has great bags, scarves, jewelry and accessories at really great prices. They set up at a place that you designate, you invite people to shop, and they give a % of sales. It would be great while people are shopping for spring/summer accessories for Easter, prom, mother's day, summer weddings, etc.

Maybe you guys can find out, if you can get "group" rates, from the airlines? Or try a Travel Agent, per group rates.
That is what schools do.

Fundraisers, as you probably know, costs money too. Because you need to buy the supplies, in order to have a fundraiser, then have someone handle the accounting of it etc., and make or prepare the things that are going to be sold, etc.

Depends also on how much money you need to raise and for how many people.

Talk to your local grocery store about doing a brat/hot dog stand for a weekend. Many have this already, you just need to sign up. If you can do a bake sale with it, that's where you can get the most money.
