Us girls are going out for one of our birthdays and are looking for a fun or trendy place to go eat, catch up, and have a few drinks. Some of us are single so a good scene with an older crowd would be great. Any ideas would be be appreciated!!!

It depends on what area you want to go out in.

Uptown:
1. Republic Restaurant and Bar- they serve tapas which is great for sharing. Famous for their artichoke dip and frozen mojitos. Its definitely a place to see and be seen. Owen Wilson was there a few weeks ago. www.republicdallas.com. We've also bumped into Aiden from Sex and the City at Republic!
2. Mi Cocina in West Village- very trendy and yummy mexican food. The bar area gets packed! Dress to impress. Lots of singles.
3. Tei-Tei- really cool sushi restaurant on Knox. They have a bar in the back that gets pretty packed. Again, lots of singles.
4. Samba Room-Knox area- very sexy, latin restaurant and bar. Palm trees, sheer curtains, amber lighting, cool cocktails and Latin jazz rhythms.
5. Cuba Libre-Henderson Ave- I LOVE this place! I go with my friends all the time. Festive, trendy eatery on Henderson makes for a delightful dinner and sultry night out. There's a bar area upstairs to go and mingle in after dinner.

Downtown:
1. Sunset Lounge- a stylish, low-key lounge. Like the name suggests, the decor's color palate mimics the vibrant hues of a setting sun: crimson walls, an an orange glowing bar. A sophisticated crowd gathers for the strong drinks and the late night menu.

Addison:
1.Mercy Wine Bar- great food, wine, and scene

I'm not familiar with North Dallas. If you want to spend a little more money, try Nobu in the Crescent Hotel or Dragonfly in the Hotel Zaza. Both are a lot of fun!
The other resturants I mentioned above are more mid priced and not as expensive as Nobu.

Have fun!

I would recommend Jaspers at Shops at Legacy. Every time we feel like going someplace exactly like you described, that is where we go. Very hip, very trendy, great food (the bleu cheese chips are to die for!), great bar area and general ambiance. The ONLY downside to Jasper's is that it is a bit pricey. But if you feel like splurging, ytou can't go wrong! Just don't order the desert that is a trio of things - We were REALLY disappointed.
I have friends that love Martini Park, but I don't know if they have ever eaten there. There is also a really long line almost always, so you might want to get there early. :)

Not a restaurant, but a fun place to go afterwards is Pete's Dueling Piano Bar in Addison. A group of us girls (all moms) went there a few weekends ago for anight out and had a BLAST!! It is not too meat market-y, but still there seem to have been some nice prospects!! Enjoy!

Amy's suggestion for Pete's Dueling Piano Bar is the best. That place rocks!!! Also, try Dragonfly for dinner, it's at Hotel Za Za. Soooo yummy! I've been to the one in Puerto Rico and the food is unbeleivable!

Also the Glass Cactus at the Gaylord Texan might be fun for you too!

Have fun wherever yall decide!
