I have a friend coming into town this weekend who will be staying in McKinney. I don't get to McKinney often enough to know where to go out. We're looking for a place to get a drink or two and maybe something to eat. Or even better, if there is something like the Shops at Legacy in McKinney, that would be great too. Any ideas?
I am not that familiar with McKinney. I live in West Allen about 5 minutes from Watters Creek which is similar to the Shops of Legacy. We love it. We love Shops of Legacy and we go there a lot to Cru Bar, Martini Park then a little north to Loft 610 or to Nylo on Preston/Headquarters (a place similar to Hotel Zaza)
Watters Creek has Cru Bar (Great wine bar), Mi Concini, Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs, Brio

Been to the Londoner in downtown McKinney. The upstairs room is great for hanging out with a drink. Also heard that The Grand Hotel/Rick's Chophouse is a nice place for a drink (also in downtown).
I have not been, but I hear that the square downtown is fun. Somewhere down there is also a wine bar. Good luck
It's in Allen, but that new shopping center at Bethany and Hwy 75 is REALLY COOL. It's got lots of good restaurants, a wine bar, lots of shops and a mini river walk. Many of the restaurants have patios if the weather is nice. I think that would be a great play to take friends!! It's on the South West corner where PF Changes and the Cheesecake Factory are (there are lots of other restaurants in there also).
