My son is 18 months and it is time for the first haircut! Any suggestions for good places to take him that are kid friendly and reasonable in price?

I would recommend Shear Madness. Haircuts are around $16 and it is completely worth it. The atmosphere is perfect and the stylists that work there are great with kids. What child could ask for more than a car to sit in, a movie to watch and a sucker to keep them occupied? I have a son and a daughter and they both see Chris (we go to the location off 119th & Nall).
We also take our son to Shear Madness. He had his first haircut there and I took my camera. They let them watch videos and they sit in cars/trucks. We were going to the one on 119th & Nall, but they opened one at 151st & Nall. That one is much nicer and not busy at all. We see Tesha there. The cuts are $16.95 with tax. I would call and get an appt so you aren't waiting long, especially if you go to the one on 119th st.
Hi M.,
We took our daughter to Shear Madness in Olathe for her first haircut and all that we have had since. It is only for kids so it is very kid friendly. They sit in little cars to get it cut and they have a little TV at each station with movies they can watch if that helps. We popped in Barney and it went very well! They have a first haircut package that I believe was $33 but it comes with a certificate with a before and after picture and a lock of hair--very cute. But you don't have to do that and of course just a haircut is less expensive. ###-###-#### We really like LeAnn--she works tues-sat! Have fun!
Shear Madness specializes in kids haircuts! My 18 month old loved it!
