Don't know how old the girls are, but have you thought of an arts/crafts project? They have all kinds of stuff at Michaels.
Hello all. I have a bunch of my daughter's friends gathering this friday. I am trying to decide what to take them all to do. Everything I have looked at is so outrageously expensive. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I would really like to do something where all the kids will enjoy themselves but won't cost me an arm and a leg. I will appreciate any suggestions. Especially since I don't really know this area that well. Thank you.

N., How about taking them to the mall and doing a scavenger hunt? make up about 20 different things that they have to find out of all of the stores and go from there. I'm sure they would have a blast trying to figure out what store your talking about with a riddle or something. Then if you have a digital camara you can take pics of the stuff they find. Hope that helps, not to mention it's free..
The Woodlands has a Trolley that runs a 20 minute loop and the summer movie club is starting. You all ride the trolley from your parking area, and you could pay for their movie tickets and let them bring their own snack money. Take them to the movie and ride the trolley to somewhere else to get ice cream afterwards, say at Market Street, and then hang out in the park nnear the water fountain.
If they are younger, you could call the United Methodist church - they have a great indoor play area and a cafe that serves lunch- call them for details.
Good luck.
Hello N.,
I would say Putt-Putt. I am not sure how old the kids are but kids love it. If you are familiar with The Woodlands Mall, there is also Libby Lu for younger girls. It's not too bad price wise. There is also a skate rink in Spring that is reasonable. If the kids have their own roller blades they could bring them and then you would save on rental fees!! Bowling is another great idea! If you look on the back of an HEB or Kroger receipt (from Tomball) you can find buy on get one coupons. Look online for other coupons and ideas!! Hope this helps a bit! The following is my webpage. I earn extra money staying at home with my son and I don't sell a thing!! Check it out if you need to earn some extra cash or you are looking for a way to protect you children from harmful chemicals! www.momsNcharge.com Blessings, B.
There are several Drive In Movie Theatres in the area (well sorta...one is in Porter off 59N and one is west of Tomball on FM2920. http://members.aol.com/drivinmovi/index.html ) It is usually a double feature. You can offer to pay for entrance (around $6/ person) and have the parents send along money for concessions. The kids can sit outside in portable chairs or a blanket (take bug spray!) I took a group of 3rd grade girl scouts to the one in Porter and they had a great time!!
If the girls are between 3rd - 8th Grade, there is always Friday Night Live http://www.fridayniteliveevents.com/index.php?option=com_...
The cost is $9 / person plus concession. You just drop the girls off at 7p and pick them up at 11p. Again, tell the parents ahead of time what the costs are so you are not out of pocket so much money. You are offering the transportation and perhaps a sleepover.
Have fun!
This might sound a bit old-fashioned but it is very cheap and very fun. We have waterballoon rights. It is about $2 for 250 balloons. It takes them a few hours to fill them up, and they have fun doing that, some break and some get thrown, then we set a time and even the parents get involved. It is a LOT of fun. In fact we did one with our street over the Memorial Day weekend. It was a blast!
this morning on ksbj they had a list of free actvites for summer fun and its on their website www.ksbj.org hope this helps and have fun.
God Bless.............................................
KS8 is a skating ring in the woodlands. The prices are not too bad . I believe it's like 7.50 a person, they also have family fun nights ex..family of 5 adds up to $30.00 If i'm not mistaken it includes a pizza and a picther of pepsi.Check out the internet to look at their website.
I'm a grandmother of 5 who suggests that you KISS (Keep it simple...silly!. Is it important that you transport the children somewhere else & pay money to have fun? Consider staying home, bake/decorate cookies and play cards? or Young girls love to play dress-up and can spend hours in front of the mirror doing their hair and makeup...preparing for "high-tea" serve them a beverage in a "tea" cup w/saucer and cookies. Children really can entertain themselves if given the opportunity. If taking them out is what you want to do, and its too hot for a park and picnic then I agree with the previous response that bowling or skating are some of the least expensive options. Have fun!
check out www.ninaloca.com. it has lots of ideas for things to do. also check out www.thewoodlandskidseatfree.com which might help you save a little money if you are taking them to dinner. but i kind of agree with the person that said KISS. i think kids have a lot of fun at home even with little preparation by you, especially girls. you could plan some simple games. another idea is taking them to a pool or if they're younger a splash pad, like the one at market street. or set up a slip n slide at home.
