I have been using the SNAP benefits to help supplement my income as a single parent. I moved from one county to another so i had to provide them with all my new information. I make less money in this county but pay just as much rent.I'm working on improving myself, but right now the food stamps help keep us afloat. After providing my information, my account says it's closed, but in the details says its pending. So is it possible that they're closing my account from my old county and its just pending for my new county or have i just lost it all together? I hate relying on it, but it just helps until we can get back on our feet!

What can I do next?

I'm sure it's transitioning. I'd do a follow up call to have them clarify for you.

I would imagine it's being switched from O. county to the next....I don't know for sure. Is there a number you can call & ask?
Hope it goes through smoothly for you!

I also think it is probably just closing in one county and pending in the new one....I think a follow-up call is in order, just to make sure? But I could be wrong as I guess I am not familiar with SNAP, I thought they just provided help with your electric bills? I didn't know they gave out food stamps too?

I would call and ask. Hopefully that's all it is!! But I don't trust any of those offices. They say they are there to help but they don't always help those who really need it. I am not saying you don't need it cause as a single mom I am positive you do!!! Just put a since of urgency to them if possible!!!

You're not gonna lose it if you still qualify. Transfers are confusing so be patient.

It's probably that you're closed in the old county and pending in the new. You can call your worker just to be sure.

I would call and ask. Alot of times it will stay pending intill you bring it to their attention.
