I had a frozen embryo transfer on Jan 30th. We transfered two embryos. My first HCG pregnancy test was postive with a number of 500. My second pregnancy test two days later was 1,000. And the next pregnancy test was 2,000. Each pregnancy test was done every other day. Do you think i could be pregnant with twins or only one? My ultra sound is next week but wanted to get a feel of what others had :) We are super excited!!

What can I do next?

Having an HCG that doubles with every test is totally normalfor 1 baby (and also normal for 2). Your HCG levels can't answer this, sorry. But congrats and good luck with your pregnancy!

First, congrats! Sounds like really positive news and I hope you get a great u/s next week and a happy, healthy pregnancy.

It's been a few years since I did IVF (I was a surrogate) so the ranges aren't as sharp in my mind as they were back then but your numbers sound like a single pregnancy to me based the range of your readings and that fact that they are doubling as expected. I carried twins and the numbers were higher and more than doubled every 48 hours...our first reading was around 1600 (15 days post transfer) and the second one was over 4000. I actually just looked back at some old e-mails to find those numbers and was reminded of how exciting that time was - big congrats to you!!!

Probably one...they usually like them to double every 48 hours.
