congrats!

It's probably cellulitis. Is it hot to the touch? How big is the lump?

No worries - just call your Dr. to be safe. But don't freak out.

I've had several major surgeries and I've had lumps that are scar tissue. They've all dissolved within a few months. As Wild Woman suggests, don't freak out. No need to be anxious about this at all unless it's red and hot to the touch or you have a fever.

I've also had cellulitis. I felt like I had the flu; achy, feverish, and skin was sensitive to the touch. So, I doubt you have that.

Congrats on your new baby!!

Never had a c-section. SO I don't know.

First thing I would tell you to do is TAKE A DEEP BREATH!! Call your OB/GYN and leave a NON-EMERGENCY message for call back on Monday.

You should be going in for you six week check up - right? It could be scar tissue. It could be a lot of things. I'm not a doctor and I've not examined you. If it's not hot or sore to the touch - it's not an infection. If it smells bad, you have a fever or VERY tender to the touch - call your OB/GYN and ask if you need to go to the ER. Other than that? Don't freak out. Make a list of things you want to talk with your OB/GYN about.

Good luck!

I had a c-section and yes, I had a hard lumps of scar tissue all along my incision, but mostly at the ends. I had never had surgery before and it worried me, but my doctor said it was perfectly normal. 4 yrs later it is gone, and I have no idea when it happened, but it does go away. Whenever you have worries, call your doctor. They are there to help you so you don't have to freak out. :)
