You might want to add a bit to your post as to why you need to put urine in your attic?
I recently had this suggestion as the riddex plus is doing nada nor are the cats and dog... The person that suggested it said their pest control company put an ounce in their attic and that it was not stinking up their house nor was it bothering their animals?
Will it really not stink up the house??
Will it really not disturb the domestic animals? I am concerned that it will freak out our outside cats and they will run off etc
I am set to purchase it possibly tomorrow so any help is greatly appreciated before I waste money....
well i never said *I* was going to put it in *my* attic but the person that had suggested it their pest control person did.
I also never said what i intended to use it to get rid of because I really didn't want to because it kind of skeeved me out (and I do not skeeve easy)
I didn't get it because I ended up in the er the day I went to buy it.
It seems Nature though has taken care of part of the issue. This is my end on this subject for me. Thank you to everyone for all of the information, feedback, questions that actually helped me ask others etc.
I appreciate very much the time and effort you gave to me. Thank you very much.

This just doesn't pass the common sense test. I don't think an ouce of fox urine is enough to stink up the whole attic, even after the hot sun warms it up. And even so, the smell, if any, will transfer down into your house - as if a squirrel or rat died up in there. The directions on the bottle say to spray where the pests are entering the attic, the idea being that the critters smell the fox urine and think there's a fox in there. Just don't get any on you! Wear rubber or latex gloves when spraying. Then repeat weekly. Fox urine isn't that expensive. But I would do something else like block the hole.
What are you trying to "get rid of" in your house? If it is squirrels or mice- use traps. Your local "animal control" department (or something like it - call your non-emergeny police for info and they will help you find out where to call). I had both in my old house -114 years old. It was a nightmare, but my then fiance (hubby for 10 years now) helped me work through it. It was not bad. Regardless of what you are trying to get rid of in your house, you must make sure that these "pests" do not have access to your house again. So my recommendation is to have a professional look at your situation and follow their advice. My soon-to-be hubby was a professional chimney sweep BTW, so he did know about these things. I no longer live there but my tenants claim they have no issues.
You didn't say what you were trying to accomplish with the fox urine, but I'm assuming squirrles in the attic? That's what we used it for and it seemed to work, no smell in the house. We put a little bit on cotton balls and then threw them in the area of the attic where the squirrles were coming in. We had a cat at the time (indoor/outdoor) and he didn't seem to mind it at all. I didn't smell it inside either. It doesn't take a lot, and I don't think it's really expensive. I got mine at a feed store. Academy was ALWAYS out when I checked, so if there is a local feed store, you might check with them before trying Academy.
Not sure what you are going to be using it for but I got some at my local feed store for keeping squirrels out of my garden. It did nothing for us. It was a bit stinky but not horrible.

I heard that if you placed it on a cloth (old tshirt or something) and put it under the house or in the attic it would get rid of the "critters" coming in. We had an issue with some type of animal (never found out what it was) crawling into the attic at night. We never purchased it because it was a rental house and someone finally moved into it. We were going to get it at a feed store.
Let us know if it works for whatever you're trying to get rid of.
