Hello I am having my little girl's 3rd birthday party at the Fort Worth Zoo in April. Has anyone had their child's birthday party the Fort Worth Zoo before? How did it go did you have games or did the zoo staff run the party? We have rented out the Educational area and we also have the Wild Wonders coming in with animals for the kids to see but other than that I am not sure about the details. If anyone has had an experience with a birthday party there their feedback would be greatly appreciated!

We celebrated my son's 7th Bday there and it was wonderful! A week or two prior the zoo mailed us the tkts and a folder with suggested games and activities- we didn't end up using them, but several looked simple and fun. We brought our own food and cake. I also brought animal books to have on the table for down time and shy guests. It was a wonderful party- there is no touching the animals, but they are so close. It really was a neat experience for the kids and adults alike!

We had my son's 5th birthday party at the Ft.Worth Zoo and basically did everything...planned and administered the games, brought all the food, etc. the only thing they did for us is have the room ready and bring in the animals for the children to see. They do a live presentation, but the children don't get to leave their seats or touch any of the animals they bring in. It was fun and even though it rained on the day of the party a few families braved the zoo with us.

Sounds great. Can we come! :)
I'm sure you dont need to plan any activities. Just show up, take a box of cupcakes and a case of caprisuns. enjoy the zoo. It'll be great.

Zoos are hell for animals. They are horribly mistreated and aren't given even a fraction of what they could have in nature. Caging animals isn't something children should be taught. I know you didn't ask for my opinion, but I am proud to use my voice for those that don't have one.
