On a typical day, what does your 11-12 month old baby eat (the whole day)? i am having trouble coming up with ideas.

What can I do next?

Breakfast: dry cereal (cherrioes, wheaties, life), oatmeal, yogurt, fruit (bananas, strawberries, blueberries, mango, etc. (all fruit cut-up small), scrambled eggs (probably just yolk now, as i think you should wait until 1 yo to introduce egg white), french toast, toasted bagel with jam or crm cheese (bagel cut up finely, which is tough to do, and messy!), frozen waffles cut up.

Lunch/Dinner: fruit, diced deli meat, string cheese diced up, deli cheese cut up, cottage cheese, yogurt, whole wheat tortilla torn into little bites, toasted bagel/bread, whole wheat noodles, steamed veges (carrots, peas, green beans, etc.).

Dinner: above, or what we're eating for dinner cut up well.

Generally, every meal I try to hit the food groups (dairy, fruit, vege, carb, meat).

I agree with Lucky. At that age their meals are more like a hodgepode of food...crackers and cheese, veggies, fruits, cut up hot dogs/chicken, crumbled beef, bagels, etc.

Anything that you eat they can eat, just make sure it's cut up small enough. At that age my kids ate most anything and loved yogurt and cottage cheese too, but cheese, fruit and veggies were our staples, plus probably Goldfish and Cheerios!

At that age DS would generally have a fruit (soft, mashed or chopped - strawberries, banana, peaches, plums, pears, grapes (cut)), whole grain cereal, maybe a little scrambled egg, maybe whole grain french toast or hot cereal and milk for breakfast. For lunch - generally 3 or 4 items - yogurt, fresh fruit, slightly mashed chick peas (or hummus), avocado, steamed veggies(carrots, broccoli, green beans, etc). For dinner he ate whatever we were eating (in small, pureed or chopped form) - fish, whole grain pasta, chicken (he never loved chicken), beef stew, chicken and dumplings, stir fried veggies w/ brown rice.

I never ate chicken nuggets, hot dogs and 'child friendly' food before I had a child and never saw a reason to give this stuff to my child. For the most part these things are highly processed, loaded in salt and fat (yes I know kids need more fat than we do for myelin development) and expensive compared to buying 'whole' foods and preparing them.

Good luck. It is really important for their later acceptance of food to try a wide variety of things now.
