I was wondering what your thoughts were on getting the flu shot? I am four and a half weeks along and am very nervous about the shot hurting the baby this young. I do work in a daycare where we have the flu going around. What should I do?
I was about 6 weeks along last year when i got the shot
and had no problems. I would talk to your doctor, mine strongely encouraged it, but yours may have a different opinion.
DO NOT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Besides the link from the lady below, there is a ton of evidence against vaccinations. The flu strand changes constantly so there is no way to actually protect from getting the next one, only possibly the previous one. A vaccination is a shot where they actually inject the virus into your body in hopes that your body will build immunity to it. There are many people that have actually never had the flu until after they received the flu shot. Please don't just take my word for it. I personally know 4 families whose children became Autistic about a week after they received vaccines. Now they are receiving money from a fund that the government has set up especially for people that this happens to. Just knowing that this fund exists should be more than enough! PLEASE do some research and protect your baby. He/she is depending on you to make the right decision. Feel free to contact me for more links to find research/facts on. Best wishes to you and your family. God bless you guys!!! :-)
I have always got the flu shot when i was pregnant with all 3 kids and my kids turned out fine. I too used to work in a daycare. They reccommend it especially if you are pregnant. Keep in mind I am talking about the regular flu shot and not the swine flu shot--If that is the one you are talking about Only you can decide as it is so new. I personally am not getting the h1n1 shot for myself or my kids as I dont know the long term side effects.
