Call 2-1-1 which is a social service directory that might have some ideas for you in the Tarrant County area. Call them and ask for suggestions.

Also try the Housing Crisis Center in Dallas as well as Workforce Commission for referrals. Also call 211 to get details about possible housing programs/resources for single mothers.
If you're asking for assistance and plan to go to school then contact the financial aid office of the school you want to attend. You may also be able to get assistance thru the state, whether or not you go to school, tho you'll get more if you're a student. Inquire at Texas Human Resources office. They probably have a web site.
