Hi! I am looking for a good fence company to put up a fence for us. We are new to the area so I don't know who is reputable. We've had one company come out and give us an estimate, Midwest Fence, and while they seem good the price seems too high.
Does anyone have any suggestions? We just want a chain link fence around the backyard.
Thanks!

What can I do next?

I used to work for a fence company (high end) and Midwest was the cheapest around. If you want cheaper then them I think you would want to do it yourself. chain link is pretty easy check home depot and lowes for instructions and you can rent an auger for your posts just do not forget to call before you dig.

Dakota Fence is in the area too. They are in Rosemount, and I forget the east/west road, but if you go south from Cty Rd 42 and Hwy 3, on 3 - the next light in the middle of no where, turn left. They are a mile or so down the road on the left.

Another thought is to check with Home Depot, Menards or Lowes. They will more than likely have a few contractors on list that you can call as well.

We had a fence put up a couple summers ago and got 4 quotes and went with the cheapest one. There were a few issues that came up and within a year our gate was sagging and we needed to replace the hardware. I recommend getting mulitple quotes and don't always go with the cheapest one but the one that feels right to you is also important. I can't recall the name of the company we went with but our fence was a bit unusual so I can't completly bad mouth them either. Just remember that cheaper isn't always better (usually isn't).
