Hi Mama!
My son is 10.5 months now and a great eater. I just cooked up some lentils (no soaking needed!) the other day for him and mix in some rice cereal to make it a complete protein. I also cook zucchini for him, squash, sweet potatoes (fresh and organic), and today I gave him ground turkey (easy for him to pick up with his fingers- he LOVED it!). There's a good, but somewhat overwhelming book out called Super Baby Food. It's got alot of great food ideas, but can be a bit "too much". I am also tired of the same old things in baby food and want my little guy to have a good variety. You can also give him egg yolks (just the yolks before 1 year)- beware they are very messy! :)
How about some fresh fruits too? Watermelon, peaches, etc. etc! Yogurt is GREAT for babies and doesn't fall into the "no dairy before 1 year" "rule". The probiotics in yogurt are GREAT for their tummies!
Bon Appetit!
