We went two years ago and this summer we are coming back again. If you have girls you can not miss Breakfast at the Cinderella Castle.

If your kids are girls and like princesses, go for Magic Kingdoms "Cinderella's Royal Table!" The breakfast was really good.

Book a character meal of SOME sort for whatever your kids are in to. They will LOVE it! A little spendy buy we are very glad we did it. My daughters' smile couldn't have gotten any bigger!

Every time we go to DW, we eat the first night at the Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom. After the hectic day, the kids really like being at the MK, plus enjoy the Winnie the Pooh characters featured there. It's an extensive buffet, so EVERYBODY'S happy, NO ONE has to wait to eat! We're foodies, so we love the selection. Make reservations, follow up with the parade and fireworks, voila!

Our absolute favorite is Alfredo di Roma Ristorante in Epcot's Italy section!! If you go there early to mid afternoon it's not so busy. You will need reservations. It is wonderful and most of the wait staff is from Italy so they're fun to chat with. My second favorite would be Cinderella's Castle in the Magic Kingdom. The food's good and all the princesses are at their character meals.

We went to just about every character meal available when we went in November and the best meal we had was breakfast at Hollywood and Vine at Hollywood Studios. The characters were Little Einsteins and JoJo and Goliath. Character wise it wasn't our favorite but the food was the best. We took two girls ages 5 and 4 so Cinderella's Royal Table was the best for characters that they wanted to see most.
Another good meal was the 50's PrimeTime Cafe also at Hollywood Studios. It is not a character meal but it was a fun time.
Crystal Palace was pretty good at MK. We read lots of great review for Liberty Tree Tavern but the service there was not very good and the food was okay.
Chef Mickey's was really good as well. At Epcot the Garden Grill was really good.

We have SO many favorites. Sci-Fi at Hollywood Studios (for the atmosphere), Chef Mickey at the Contemporary, Le Cellier in Canada at Epcot, Teppan Edo in Japan at Epcot, San Angel in Mexico at Epcot, The Coral Reef Restaurant in Epcot (the food isn't great, the view is), 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian for a yummy character breakfast, and Hoop De Doo Revue top off our list of absolute favorites. If you choose Le Cellier and The Coral Reef Restaurant, take whatever day and time they can give you (it is really hard to get in these), all of the others it just really depends on what time of day you want to eat! Have fun!!!

We've had several trips to Disney. We always stay at the Polynesian Resort. It is worth the $$ to us, we LOVE it.

Are you talking about Character dining? If so,,Chef Mickey at the Contemporary is good. Nice buffet style, good for dinner.

Polynesian has a luau that is fun, the food is ok but entertainment is good.

The O'Hana restaurant at the Polynesian has a great character breakfast.

There is a restaurant inside MK, I forgot name, but has Winnie and characters....good breakfast.

Grand Floridian has a great restaurant where adults can enjoy.

Enjoy!

I love Tony's at Magic Kingdom. There are so many, go to the ones your kids might be interested in there is bound to be one with a theme your kids love. Make sure you make reservations ahead of time as the restaurants can fill up very quickly and you don't want to be stuck waiting with hungry kids!

someone else mentioned it too - ohanas at polynesian. it is good and it is fun - they have littke games and races for the kids to do around the restaurant. if you want to to food at cinderellas castle - call now and make the reservation. you cant just walk up and decide to eat there. the restaurant is very small and reservations are made months in advance. there is a really good character breakfast buffet on the ground floor of the contemporary - i think it is called chef mickeys? that is a good place to go with kids. The San Angel in Epcot is good - it is inside one of the rides. Its nice and cool in there and kind of dark - so it is a good place to rest and take it easy and the mexican food is really good. There is also a great little dessert place in the French section in Epcot (tucked back in what looks like a little alley). They have fab desserts and it is another good place to sit and take a break. Try the Beergarten also at Epcot - great German food if you like brats and such. There is also a good BBQ place at Animal Kingdom - Flametree BBQ. IT is really good and kid friendly. The Diner place at MGM is a good place for kids too and the food is good home cooking. Have fun!

Don't know if they have it at DW, but at DL our favorite restaurant is Blue Bayou. It's actually IN the Pirates of the Caribbean Ride. We always just make a reservation in advance, so we don't have to worry about timing.

The character breakfasts, wherever they are held, are also grand.

With your age kids, the two best character meals have already been mentioned...Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary and Crystal Palace in MK with Winnie and friends. We've never done the Cinderella breakfast, you have to be hardcore trying on first morning reservations are available to get into that meal (usually 90 days from reservation date, but that changes). We did the character meal at Animal Kingdom last year, buffet breakfast had a lot of exotic choices so my kids enjoyed it, but they are older than yours...a 3 yr old might not appreciate the unusual food, however, we got to see Donald and Daisy along with Mickey, Goofy and some other friends...so the characters were fun.
Our #1 fav meal (possibly out of any restaurant disney or not) is the California Grill at the Contemporary. Outstanding food, service, view and your reservation gives you the privledge of returning at nighttime to watch the MK fireworks from the rooftop of the resort. It was stunning. The accompaning music is piped in to give you the full effect and you are literally eye level with the fireworks, I've never in my life enjoyed fireworks as much as I enjoyed this show. But the food! Best sushi I've ever tasted, huge cuts of tenderloin grilled to perfection, our waiter was very knowledgeable about wines and allowed us to taste a couple of different choices to coordinate with our meals. It's not cheap, but my family will remember this meal for the rest of our lives, so it was worth it. There were several families there with younger children, so don't let that intimidate you. It is DW, small children are expected.
Enjoy your trip...there are some great planning websites if you haven't already found them, send me a personal message and I'll give you the site names.
