This is embarassing, but . . .
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (we watch it every year on Thanksgiving to get us in the decorating spirit)
Home Alone
I also love the old school Rudolph and Frosty!!
Last night I HAD to break out my "Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas" dvd. That by FAR is my favorite Christmas show.
My son is 4.5 and really loves the Mickey Mouse "Once Upon a Christmas" and "Twice Upon a Christmas."
My husband is old school and loves "Rudolph" and "Frosty the Snowman."
What's your favorite?
This is embarassing, but . . .
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (we watch it every year on Thanksgiving to get us in the decorating spirit)
Home Alone
I also love the old school Rudolph and Frosty!!
I love National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story. My kids (and actually me too!) love Elmo's Christmas Countdown. Oh, and Polar Express!
Elf with Will Ferrell is our family favorite! I also love White Christmas and The Christmas Story.
It's a Wonderful Life...
ETA:
My boys LOVE LOVE LOVE Disney's Prep & Landing.
We watch A Charlie Brown's Christmas. There are others. My fav is It's a wonderful life!
A Christmas Story hands down, followed by... OH! What's the old black and white one? It's a Wonderful World? Life? Judy Garland? Maybe I'm thinking of 2 different one's there, I loooove old black and white movies!!
Oh, and A Charlie Brown Christmas, OF COURSE!
HI C....
We always tell people our favorite Christmas movie is "Die Hard." ...the edited TV version of course, lol................I don't think that would go over too well with the four and a half year old, but growing up my favorite was always "Christmas in Connecticutt." Hilariously funny and of course has a happy ending!
Merry Christmas!

hands down "The Elf" We bought the elf on the shelf for our kids and we had to name the elves after ones you hear in the movie. every year we count how many times that we have seen it and my friend is shooting for 24 times this year. All in all it is a GREAT movie!
I LOVE Christmas movies and I have a list of them that I HAVE to watch every year.
Here they are:
Miracle on 34th Street (only the original from 1947 - hope to get my 5-year old daughter to watch this one with me this year)
It's a Wonderful Life
A Christmas Story
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Elf
Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the show, NOT the movie)
My daughter absolutely loved the Grinch last year. We recorded it on our DVR and she asked to watch it every night before bed. She's also been asking about watching Charlie Brown and Snoopy so we'll be watching A Charlie Brown Christmas. Of course, we'll be watching as many of the animated shows as possible (Rudolph, Frosty, Mickey, Shrek, etc.).
A Christmas Story, Elf, and Bad Santa. Now, Bad Santa is not for the kids, but it's hilarious.
"It's a Wonderful Life" and the old George C Scott version of "A Christmas Carol" are my favorites. My husband loves "Four Christmases" and "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation". Our boys (ages 5 and 2) love the old Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman, and animated Grinch Who Stole Christmas, and we all love the 3D animated Christmas Carol.
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation! Love that movie. But I do like all the feel good Christmas movies, it's my favorite time of the year.
I like Fred Claus, but I saw them film part of it downtown. Plus I'm twisted, so the rest of my holiday movie faves don't get any sweeter:
The Ref (awesome Denis Leary and Kevin Spacey)
Home for the Holidays (Holly Hunter and Robert Downey Jr)
Bad Santa (as mentioned previously)
I also like all those movies with Tim Allen - I think they're just "the Santa Claus" parts 1, 2 and 3.
Christmas Vacation, Love Actually, Christmas With The Kranks.
The worst one ever is Surviving Christmas. Couldn't even finish that one.
Favorite kids clasic - Frosty
Favorite adult clasic - It's a Wonderful Life
Others I enjoy...
The Santa Clause movies with Tim Allen
Jack Frost
Yes Virginia, There is a Santa Claus (the orignal not the cartoon version)
Miracle on 34th Street (the original)
Christmas with the Kranks
Annabelle's Wish and Polar Express and for adults only Bad Santa
I still cry at the little drummer boy. I also like the movie from the late '80's or early '90's... The Santa Clause Movie. I remember when I was a little girl there was a movie called "the littlest angel" about a boy in the biblical times who went chasing a butterfly and ran off a cliff. He was played by the boy who played Jody on Family affair. See I am showing my age now. I never forgot that movie and how I cried at it.
I remember loving Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas! Haven't seen it for ages!
I love "Prep and Landing," "Elf," and "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation".
There are so many! The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, It's a Wonderful Life, The Christmas Story (you'll shoot your eye out!), Ruldolph the Rednosed Reindeer, Miracle on 34th Street (did I get the number right? LOL!), A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott, Charlie Brown's Christmas with that little tree (gets me every time!).
I know there's more. I need to go pull out my Christmas movies now - I got the tree up this weekend. The dining room is next. I want to be done by the time my college son comes home. It will be a TV Christmas movie marathon!
Dawn
We are all about the classics, hubby and I are partial to "A Christmas Story" and "national lampoons" but the kids LOVE old school the Grinch and Rudolph!!
I love Frosty and Rudolph and the Grinch. You cant beat those characters. Yukon Jack, Adominable Snowman, Herr Miester Burger, The Island of Misfit Toys. I loved those songs too.
Modern movies Elf, Bad Santa, and the Grinch Who Stole Christmas.
I truly do not get why everyone loves It's a Wonderful Life. It's freaking depressing. Ok, I'm glad I'm here and it's cool to think you made a postive impact on peoples lives, but only the last 5 minutes is happy, the rest of it is like a bad episode of Twilight Zone. Not sure what the joy over Chritmas Story is either. Again....depressing.
