Ok I need some easy craft ideas for Fathers Day for my daycare kiddos to make. I did cute picture for Mothers Day but I don't think the dads would really like something like that. The kids are 17 months. 7 months, 3 years, 4.5 years and 8. Thanks

What can I do next?

Get some inexpensive BIG pails/buckets at the dollar store or hardware store (all depends on what you can spend and how many Papa's you have?)

Get some dollar spot car washing doo dads..sponges and such. Have the kids do hand prints and spray with a clear coat that can be washed. Voila....car washing buckets (along with cute little coupons..maybe with the child's picture in the middle like money? for an assistant car washer?)

If they are golf or fishing fellas...gofl towels or fishing towels (to wipe off the wormy/leaches gunk)..again with hand prints? A cute saying?

I always find Dad's day way harder. Some don't have dad's in the picture....dad interests are not quite as universal (like flowers/flower pots and photo things for moms. My DC moms are more likely to work in an office to display a small photo frame on the desk than the dads are, etc).

Good luck!

Make a card with a cut out tie on the front, and on the inside make their handprints on one side and this poem on the other:

Sometimes you get discouraged
Because I am so small
I always leave my handprints
On the furniture and walls
But everyday I'm growing big
And soon I'll be very tall
Then all my little handprints
Will be so hard to recall
So here's a special gift
Just so that you can say
This is how my hands looked
When I placed them here today

You can get coffee mug decorating kits for kids to do. Also, you can buy a small canvas and have the kids paint them or put their hand/foot prints on them.

back when i did daycare i made picture frames out of popsicle sticks and let the kids paint them. I also got ties and puffy paint and let them put their hand prints on the tie. both turned out super cute!
