If it is not to far for you, Geneva has a nice one with real healthy products.
You can combine that with a nice walk on the riverside right behind it.

Hi, mommas!
I was hoping that someone had the details on any local farmers markets in the Northwest Suburbs. I live in Carol Stream and have often gone to the one in Winfield on Wed. mornings - but need a few backups for when I can't get to that one (like today!).
Thanks!
K.

Palatine & Arlington Heights have farmer's markets Saturday mornings. You could probably call their village halls to get details.
Wed - Oak Park (in the evening!) and I think Elk Grove Village (during AM)
Friday - Schaumburg (AM)
Sat - Palatine & Arlington Heights (both AM)

There is one on Friday mornings in St. Charles (east side) at Baker Memorial Church. Geneva also has a French Market on Sundays in their downtown 3rd street area--right next to the train station.

Wheaton has a farmer's market on Thursdays from 8-1 in front of the library (rather small but you can find what you need (fruits and veggies) and Saturday is the French Market downtown parking lot off Main Street (this is pretty big and crowded on Saturdays). Glen Ellyn has their farmer's market on Fridays mornings (a little bigger than Wheaton) in the parking lot off the Main Street.
The South Barrington Arboretum on HIggins offers a Farmer's Market Friday- Sunday every week.

Also West Chicago just started one this year on Saturday mornings 8-2.
The Schaumburg Farmers Market is great, and not too far from Carol Stream. Several large local farms and bakeries are represented. Friday morning til about 1 pm at the town commons at Schaumburg and Roselle.
Geneva has one on Sunday morning which is a bit more flea-market-ish, but still a lot of produce available -- on South 3rd by the Metra station.
I love the one in Palatine on Saturday mornings. It's in the parking lot by the train station down town.
Hi K.,
Lombard has theirs on Tuesdays downtown. Not sure on times, but well worth the drive! :)
Hi K.!
I know that Glen Ellyn has one on Fridays and Geneva has a Green Market on Thursdays and another weekend market (} think Sundays).
Hope that helps!
Bartlett has their Farmer's Market every Friday from 2-6pm... on Main Street (across the street from the library and by the train station). They have story time and crafts for the kids each week, several local farmers, bakeries, and other vendors from time to time.
